For players looking for the ultimate protection against Camo Bloons, they have to look no further than the Ninja Monkey as it is by far one of the strongest towers players can place in hopes of shredding through all types of Camo Bloons.
Ninja Monkeys are fairly versatile in the upgrades they can inherit as players either focus on the damage output of the Ninja Monkey itself, the revelation of Camo Bloons or the placement of Bombs on a MOAB-class bloon in hopes of having it explode and deal extra damage to other MOAB-class bloons.
A Ninja Monkey is considered an essential tower for players to place as it will provide players with defence in all categories, even being extremely strong against regular bloons.
The following guide will take you through everything you need to know about the Ninja Monkey and which upgrade path would suit your needs the most.
PATH 1 TIER-5 NINJA MONKEY – GRANDMASTER NINJA
The Grandmaster Ninja is considered the most basic of all the Ninja Monkeys, essentially being able to deal rapid damage using it’s shurikens, dealing damage focussed towards regular bloons.
The Grandmaster Ninja throws out shurikens every 0.217 seconds, dealing 2 damage per shuriken.
Grandmaster Ninja’s toss out a total of 8 shurikens at a time, each having 4 pierce, essentially guaranteeing that all bloons are shred before they continue to leak.
Grandmaster Ninjas, while powerful, greatly benefit from the placement of multiple Path 2 Ninja Monkeys with Shinobi Tactics (-/3/-) which raise the attack speed and pierce of surrounding Ninja Monkeys.
Players will only need to place a single Path 1 Ninja Monkey to make the most of this impressive tower.
Players can further maximize the damage of a Grandmaster Ninja by placing an Engineer Monkey with Overclock (-/4/-) or an Alchemist with Stronger Stimulant (4/-/-).
Alchemist are the most helpful as they will provide players with the ability to shred through Lead Bloons with ease.
When it comes to choosing a cross path for the Grandmaster Ninja, players will have to make a choice based on what they need.
Path 2 provides players with the ability to knock back bloons as well as the ability to reveal Camo Bloons.
The reality is that a Path 2 cross path is relatively weak for the Grandmaster Ninja, especially since this tower alone can usually deal with Camo Bloons by itself, however, if you have placed a number of Towers that cannot gain Camo detection or do not have any way of providing Camo detection to a Tower, such as a Monkey Village with Radar Scanner (-/2/-) or a Hero like Etienne, players can use this upgrade to ensure that no bloons leak from the simple probability of Camo bloons overwhelming the player.
The majority of players will want to cross path with Path 3 as doing such will ensure that more bloons are targeted as Seeking Shuriken will auto target bloons nearby and Caltrops will lay spikes down to raise the chances of Camo bloons being caught on their way out of the map.
Shockingly Seeking Shuriken will help raise the probability that MOAB-class bloons are destroyed simply due to the ability to bounce between bloons.
If players are still concerned about bloons being revealed, they can place lower tier Path 2 Ninja Monkeys to reveal them while focussing on the damage output of this tower.
PATH 2 TIER-5 NINJA MONKEY – GRAND SABOTEUR
The Grand Saboteur is a tower I admittedly don’t place often, though the reality is that the Grand Saboteur is extremely powerful upon upgrading as it will gain the ability to cause all spawned in MOAB-class bloons to spawn with only 75% of their maximum health.
The Grand Saboteur also provides players with extra defences, providing the player with 50% slowdown on all bloons on screen as they spawn if players activate its special ability.
The Grand Saboteur is a very important candidate for players trying to complete CHIMPS game modes as it can provide the player with massive support, especially when it comes to MOAB-class bloons and DDTs.
Essentially a player will be able to remove 25% of a BADs’ health immediately and who could say no to that?
Players will want to pair up a Grand Saboteur with other global abilities such as the Monkey Ace’s Ground Zero (-/4/-) or Tsar Bomba (-/5/-) as in many cases these will completely eliminate huge hoards of MOAB-class bloons.
When it comes to cross pathing a Grand Saboteur, players will not technically need a cross path, though I usually recommend Path 1.
Path 1 will provide the Grand Saboteur with attack range, attack speed and the ability to shred through more bloons, essentially providing the player with more capabilities to reveal Camo bloons.
Path 3 is not as impressive as an upgrade as it will provide players with the ability to make sure that bloons are not missed as they will gain the ability to auto seek out bloons.
My main reason for not cross pathing with Path 3 is simply the raised chances players will receive to pop bloons, essentially being able to reveal more bloons.
Even if a few Shurikens miss, chances are more bloons will be affected by this cross path.
PATH 3 TIER-5 NINJA MONKEY – MATER BOMBER
The Master Bomber is quite an essential tower for players to place as it can essentially provide players with massive damage against MOAB-class bloons.
The Master Bomber will be able to throw bombs that stick onto a MOAB-class bloon every 2 seconds dealing 1,000 damage to MOABs.
The Master Bomber is able to shred the top layer of small MOAB-s including DDTs and BFBs in normal difficulty games.
When a Master Bomber throws a large bomb it will also stun a MOAB-class bloon for a maximum of 1 second, smaller Flash Bombs will deal 5 damage and stun MOAB-class bloons for 0.25 seconds and standard bloons by 1 second.
When it comes to cross pathing a Monkey Bomber, there is no real upgrade that will realistically benefit the Master Bomber.
This is especially true as the Master Bomber’s Sticky Bombs have infinite range, meaning that players will be able to throw these bombs from just about anywhere.
Players will essentially want to place the Master Bomber closer to the centre of a map or “an ideal location” to ensure that the distance the Master Bomber has to throw the bomb is as short as possible.
Players will deal much more damage using the bombs that are sent out rather than the Shurikens sent out, so players are recommended to spend their money on a hoard of Shinobi Tactics Ninja Monkeys as these will greatly raise the attack speed of the Master Bomber, otherwise I would keep your Monkey Bomber as a (-/-/5).
CONCLUSION
The reality is that players can find use in all three different kinds of Ninja Monkeys, often having me place one of each on the majority of maps.
Though I say this, there is a bit of a tier list in my opinion as it is not always possible to place all three types of Ninja Monkeys simply due to the fact that they do cost quite a bit to place.
For me, I would put a tie on Path 1 Grandmaster Ninjas and Path 3 Master Bombers as they are fairly interchangeable for me.
I would always place a Path 3 Master Bomber in situations where I don’t feel like I have enough MOAB-class support and I would always place a Grandmaster Ninja to help me slay lower tier bloons.
Realistically I would prefer a Path 3 Master Bomber on most occasions simply due to the fact that it can deal global damage to MOAB-class bloons.
Grandmaster Ninjas are great at dealing damage if provided a good amount of range and proper placement, though since this type of Tower needs to be in range of bloons to affect them.
While Bloon Saboteur’s are on the bottom of my list, don’t take it as a note that they are not worth upgrading to as nothing could be further from the truth.
Path 2 Bloon Saboteurs can be one of the best strategy players can use in CHIMPS simply because of the impeccable amount of damage they have access to the special ability.
In reality, lower-tier Path 2 Shinobi Ninja Monkeys are the real MVPs we should be talking about as having 20 on the field will essentially make all Ninja Monkeys unstoppable.
So I’m curious, are you a fan of the Ninja Monkeys?
Which Ninja Monkey is your favourite?
Do you always place a Path 3 Master Bomber like I do, or are you more of a Path 1 Grandmaster Ninja player?

Ethan says
I place more Grandmaster Ninjas because I almost always use bloonjitsu to take out the round 40 moab.
Johnny Salib says
Mmm that’s a pretty good strategy! Can’t say that I use it often though as I personally use a Dart Monkey or Monkey Buccaneer with Path 1 to deal with Round 40. I should try out a Bloonjitsu Ninja Monkey though and see if I can come up with a better way to “save cash”
