How to Clean All the Stains – Cleanup at Dawn Quest | Genshin Impact

Last Updated May 14, 2021 By Johnny Salib / FlamingGaymer Leave a Comment

I have to hand it to the Genshin Impact team for creating a good amount of quests that are unique and make the game experience quite interesting and captivating, though I must say that there are a few quests along the way that simply do not make sense (at least at first).

Earlier I had a complaint about quests where you have to search around an unmarked area indefinitely in order to complete them and while I understand the appeal of quests like this, being that if everything was straight forward there wouldn’t be all that much to the game, there are some quests that will leave players frustrated enough to pass on them until they have a chance to look it up on YouTube or read a guide about it, as you are doing right now.

One of these quests for me was the the “Clean All The Stains” quest from the quest line “Cleanup at Dawn.”

I was actually streaming when I acquired the Clean All The Stains quest line and while I try to complete as many quests as possible on stream, so viewers who play the game can learn from my gameplay or for viewers who don’t play to simply enjoy the story, I have to admit that the Clean All The Stains quest was one of the least fruitful moments for me since I couldn’t figure out what I was supposed to do for a good chunk of time.

My stupidity went as far as me assuming that I was simply unable to complete this quest because it was not Dawn, using the time changing function to try to get the dirt to appear. Alas, this was not the problem.

Initially giving up on this quest because it was taking too long, I finally discovered how to complete the quest while off stream and decided to share the method it needs to be completed for those of you who are struggling as bad as I did.

The following guide will take you through the quickest way to complete the Clean All Stains quest from Cleanup At Dawn.

HOW TO OBTAIN CLEANUP AT DAWN QUEST

For those of you who have yet to obtain the Cleanup At Dawn quest, you will only be able to obtain it after complete the Archon Quest: Prologue, Act 3: Song of the Dragon and Freedom.

Players must head to the Dawn Winery in order to begin the quest and speak to Adelinde who will be waiting outside of the Winery.

Adelinde will begin complaining about how unclean the Dawn Winery is, requiring the player to follow her inside in order to help assist her.

HOW TO CLEAN ALL THE STAINS FOR CLEANUP AT DAWN

Upon heading into the Dawn Winery players would probably expect to see some markings in the Dawn Winery that would imply that an area is unclean.

Instead, players will only see markings that indicate that there is a book that players can pick up and players will be forced to try out different methods of cleaning the area.

Truthfully, there’s a part of me that feels like the Genshin Team intentionally made it so that players get extremely bored trying to complete this quest as the solution to the problem is to begin attacking… well technically.

Players will need to select either an Anemo Character or a Hydro Character to complete this quest, the best choice being Barbara with the Traveler and Sucrose being close seconds.

Although players may not see them immediately, there will be four stains on the floor of Dawn’s Winery that players must either use a Anemo ability or a water basic attack or ability to clean up, this is why Barbara is the best character to do this quest.

Barbara can technically use her ability Let the Show Begin to clean up the floor, though she can also just spam basic attacks across Dawn’s Winery in order to properly clean it up.

Players will be able to locate all four of the stains on the bottom floor, not requiring to head upstairs in order to complete the quest.

Two of the stains are large grey puddles on the floor, these are located in front of Elzer and on the opposite side of the room (by the right of the door when players are walking in).

The other two are stains that can be found on the red carpet located in the middle of the room.

REWARDS FOR COMPLETING CLEANUP AT DAWN QUEST

Players will receive the following rewards for completing the Cleanup at Dawn quest:

100 Adventure Points

20,000 Mora

5 Tea Break Pancakes
