There’s something about collecting different skins and cosmetics in every game that really gets me going. Many of my Twitch Community members can confirm that I’m constantly stating “the end game is always the glam.”
Whether I’m playing FFXIV, DST, or even BTD6 I spend the majority of my time trying to make sure I’m always working towards collecting whatever currency I need to obtain all the pretty cosmetics.
I have to admit, whenever a new game launches from a developer I trust or want to support I always check to see if there is DLC that provides cosmetics and if it the DLC doesn’t cost an absurd amount I will grab it. This was very true for V Rising, which had a number of really nice skins upon launch.
Now, there are a good number of games that I refuse to spend money on as there are free ways of obtaining the cosmetics, such as Fall Guys, and while Cult of the Lamb had a DLC that I purchased I am quite surprised with how many cosmetics and props there are in the base game that players can unlock for free.
Admittedly, the DLC cosmetics aren’t the most mind-blowing, having a few props and Follower Forms that I regularly use, though the base game does have a good amount of Follower Forms I could not live without. Actually, there’s a free Follower Form that I use in every streamer’s Cult any time I win the Raffle.
Though it is not a requirement for players to collect all the Follower Forms in Cult of the Lamb, completionists will want to make sure that they get them!
Luckily, many of these Follower Forms are available just for progressing through the story, though there are a few that are hiding and will take a bit of effort in order to obtain.
The following guide will take you through all the Follower Forms that are available to players while playing Cult of the Lamb. I will be covering which are free, which you have to pay for and which you receive for being a streamer who is running a Cult.
DO FOLLOWER FORMS AFFECT THE TRAITS OF A FOLLOWER?
No. Follower Forms are purely cosmetic and as soon as a player unlocks one they will always be able to provide a future Follower with this form.
This is also true for players who are streaming on Twitch who’s followers want to take a special form. Followers who are able to win the raffle to be part of the streamer’s Cult can select any of the unlocked Follower Forms and will not be able to change them.
The same is true for any Follower a player generates themselves. After a Form is chosen it cannot be changed, and it will not affect the Follower in any way other than aesthetics.
DUNGEON SPECIFIC FOLLOWER FORMS
There are two ways players will be able to unlock the Dungeon specific follower Forms. The first is simply from finding and rescuing Followers in each of the Dungeons. Now, I have to say, although I got very lucky with getting unique Followers the majority of the time I rescued Followers, I’ve seen a bunch of streamers get some terrible RNG, causing them to locate the same Follower Form over and over again.
Now, for players who are stuck with bad RNG there is a way to avoid the RNG altogether by purchasing the Follower Forms for Coins.
I strongly recommend avoiding this until you complete the main story as there are plenty of opportunities a player will be given to head into Dungeons they’ves completed. For example, players will be asked to head back into Dungeons for different tasks to raise their Follower’s Loyalty and players will need to complete Dungeons at least twice for Plimbo’s quests.
Admittedly, Coins aren’t difficult to get, especially if players know what to do. But you’re going to want to use Coins at first to purchase as many Followers as you can from Helob or to buy Tarot Cards from vendors.
When players are ready to purchase all the Follower Forms that they are missing, they can head the following locations:
DARKWOOD FOLLOWER FORMS
Darkwood Follower Forms can be purchased in Pilgrim’s Passage. They are located behind the lighthouse to the left of the entrance.
ANURA FOLLOWER FORMS
Anura Follower Forms can be purchased in Spore Grotto. They are located to the right side of Sozo’s room.
ANCHORDEEP FOLLOWER FORMS
Anchordeep Follower Forms can be purchased in Smuggler’s Sanctuary. They are located in the upper-left corner of this area.
SILK CRADLE FOLLOWER FORMS
Silk Cradle Follower Forms are located in Midas’ Cave closer to the left side.
Note: All these Follower Forms will cost between 20-30 Coins. While this isn’t that much, this is the reason I say save your Coins at the beginning as this is about half the cost of an actual Follower.
FORNEUS THE CAT’S SHOP
Players may want to grab Follower Forms or Blueprints from Forneus the Cat, who is located in all the Dungeons in Cult of the Lamb, though there is still an RNG factor whether Forneus will appear.
Forneus will be depicted by a shop symbol of a cat when players are choosing which room they are choosing to advance to. Typically, Forneus will provide players with a free Follower Form they don’t have or a blueprint from the area, so it’s a great way to catch up as long as you don’t need other rooms’ resources.
It should be noted that Forneus will only provide blueprints and Follower Forms from that specific Dungeon, so if you head to him during a Dungeon you already collected everything for, you’ve just wasted a room.
MASSIVE MONSTER FOLLOWER FORM
The following Follower Form is a bit sad to unlock and one of the Follower Forms that I love telling streamers about simply to see their reaction about what they have to do in order to unlock it.
Essentially players will have to locate Rakshasa in their adventures, who is the seed merchant with a giant snail wife.
Take some time to attack the snail four times until Rakshasa gets mad at you and initiates battle. If successful at battling Raksaha, players will unlock the Massive Monster Statue. Now, most people wouldn’t actually build this statue because they think it’s purely for the glams, but this isn’t true. Players will actually be able to retrieve the Follower Scroll this way.
This Follower Form will only be available from the statue at night.
RAT FORM
Rat Form is the first form that players can locate in the extra areas of the game. Upon unlocking the Lonely Shack, which is Ratau’s home, players will need to check the woodpile behind his house.
This is located on the left-hand side and players should be able to see the scroll sitting cozily in the Wood Pile.
FISH FORM
Fish Form may take a bit of time to unlock, though most players have reported that they got it pretty quickly.
Essentially, when players unlock Fishing in Pilgrim’s Passage they will need to take the time to reel up the Fish Form scroll. This took me about 4 tries before I got it and honestly it wasn’t much of a nuisance to get, especially because the Fisherman had already given me the task to collect four specific fish for Holy Talisman Fragments.
I honestly recommend that players complete this quest as soon as they can as it will help them unlock their first Fleece that will significantly impact the way that they play the game.
POOP FORM
While Poop Form is by far one of the funniest forms you can provide your Followers, it does come at the cost of putting your Followers in some discomfort.
At some point in your play through you will experience a very unpleasant question from one of your Followers, asking you to prank another Follower by feeding them a Bowl of Poop.
Although players may already have a good amount of Fertilizer by this point, the request is the only way to unlock the recipe for the Bowl of Poop.
There is no rush to collecting the Poop Form Follower Form and I would strongly recommend you wait to get it as you will need to feed around 15 Bowls of Poop to acquire the Follower Form. Players have reported needing as little as 5 Bowls of Poop to get this Follower Form and I’m not sure if this was a patch update that made it easier to acquire or if the amount of Poop is random for each save file as all 4 of my files needed 15.
The main reason I recommend to wait before trying to get the Poop Follower is the fact that Bowls of Poop will make your Follower get sick and will reduce the overall Faith of your Cult.
To combat this, players will want to run a Ritual, though players may want to wait until they get the Brainwashing Ritual from Sozo as this will lock the Cult’s faith at 100% no matter what happens. Given that I cannot give you a direct answer as to how many Bowls of Poop you need (though I will play test this again) I strongly advise this route as 15 Bowls of Poop can destroy your Cult.
Players will also want to make sure they have a Healing Bay as this can be used to cure any sick Followers as this is the biggest penalty from Bowls of Poop as it can lead to dead Followers.
AXOLOTL FOLLOWER FORM
The Axolotl Follower Form is part of the cutest quest line in my opinion. First players will have to unlock Pilgrim’s Passage and head to the Lighthouse to help out the Axolotl Followers.
At first, players will be asked to provide some Lumber to the Axolotls, which will open up all the shops in the area. Players will need to return to the area a day later in order to get the next quest.
The second quest will require players to provide the pirest with twenty-five Crystal Shards. Though Crystal Shards are easy to get, this may take players a bit of time as they will need to unlock Anchordeep in order to locate them.
As soon as players complete this quest they will get the Axolotl form.
CRAB FORM
The Crab form is actually one I got by mistake. When players are in Smuggler’s Sanctuary they will be able to locate crabs running around the docks and if they are successful in catching it they will be able to unlock the Crab Form.
Unfortunately, catching a Crab by fishing will not provide you with the form.
STARFISH
Funny enough, the Starfish was one of the last Follower Forms I found and I was hyper confused by it for a long time.
Admittedly, I didn’t spend a lot of time in Midas’s Cave, which is why I got it so late, but I hope you can get it sooner.
As soon as players unlock Midas’s Cave they should head to the top-right corner to locate a pile of gold that they can walk behind. Here players will be able to see a prompt to pick something up and may even see the scroll hiding. Pick it up and grab your new Follower form!
SNAIL
The Snail Follower Form may take a bit of time to collect, though if players are aware that it exists they will be able to farm everything they need faster.
Essentially when players are in Anura, they should be on the lookout for green snails. Although rare, these Snails have a chance to drop a Shell that can be offered to different shrines in the side areas.
Players will need a total of five shells in order to obtain this Follower Forms, so get to farming any time you’re in Anura.
Players can locate the Shrines in the following locations:
The right-hand side of the yard in the Lonely Shack, behind the Lamb Shrine.
The bottom-left corner of Pilgin’s Passage, near the lighthouse entrance.
The left-hand size of Sozo’s Room in Spore Grotto.
In Smuggler’s Sanctuary players can locate the shrine on the pier left to Plimbo.
In Midas’s Cave players can find the shrine in the bottom-left corner by the Form Kiosk.
Players will receive the Snail Follower Form after they provide each of the five statues with a shell. I was luckily able to do this before I finished the game, but if you cannot get it done before the end of the game you can always complete it later.
WOLF FORM
Wolf Form requires players to complete all the quests that are related to peering into the Darkness.
Players may be well aware of these quests because I covered it in my Holy Talisman post.
Essentially there are four locations where players will find these prompts and players will always be able to locate them by the crescent moon icon above the darkness.
TWITCH FOLLOWER FORM
There is one Twitch Follower Form that is a fox-like creature. This is gotten by Twitch Followers contributing to the Cult Totem. Players will only have a chance to unlock this Follower form as there are a few Twitch rewards, but they will want the spinner to land on the Twitch Icon.
