When it comes to playing Genshin Impact players will want to make sure that they are aware of all of the resources and tools that they have at their disposal.
Newer players may not be aware of the many Gadgets that they will be able to unlock by completing quests, collecting Reputation or simply by unlocking Adventure Ranks.
One of the more important Gadgets players can collect and craft is the Wind Catcher.
The Wind Catcher is not an essential item to carry around, though the reality is that it can come in very handy for players who are making their way around the world without an Anemo character.
This guide will take you through everything you need to know about the Wind Catcher, how to obtain it and how to use it:

HOW DO YOU UNLOCK THE WIND CATCHER
In order to unlock the recipe of the Wind Catcher, players are going to have to complete Bounties and Requests in order for them to reach Reputation Level 3 in Mondstadt.
Upon reaching Reputation 3 in Mondstadt players will have to head to their inventory to learn the recipe and will be able to craft the Wind Catcher.
HOW DO YOU CRAFT THE WIND CATCHER?
The Wind Catcher is actually quite pricy, which is why I chose not to craft it, because the reality is that I don’t mind switching onto an Anemo Character whenever I need a Wind Current.
Though this is true, the reality is there are going to be some really great instances players will want to use a Wind Catcher and the only way to render it useless players will need Venti.
In order to craft the Wind Catcher players will need the following items:
10 Hurricane Seeds
30 Windwheel Aster
50 Crystal Chunk
50,000 Mora
The Wind Catcher only takes 30 seconds to fully craft, making it one of the faster crafts players can gain access to.
HOW TO USE THE WIND CATCHER
After players have crafted the Wind Catcher players will be able to set it in their inventory as their main Gadget. Once set up players will be able to release a maximum of 5 charges before it runs out of uses and players will have to refill it.
Essentially, any time a player uses the Wind Catcher they will release a single wind current allowing them to climb mountains faster or to trigger Clover Windmills in order to solve puzzles. The first use is going to be the use you would probably want to use the Wind Catcher for as this is a very over powered way to travel.
Upon unleashing a charge from the Wind Catcher players will have access to the Wind Current for about 9 seconds before it disappears, requiring players to wait another 100 seconds before they can re-use the Wind Catcher again.
HOW TO RECHARGE THE WIND CATCHER
While players may discouraged by the Wind Catcher’s high price and the fact that it only has 5 charges, the reality is that players can indefinitely recharge the Wind Catcher so that they can continue creating Wind Currents without the need of crafting another Wind Catcher.
Players will only be able to recharge the Wind Catcher by locating Anemograna, which are the little firefly looking mobs that players must collect 3 of in order to cause a Wind Current.
Players will only need to walk over the Anemograna in order to fill up the Wind Currents, meaning that any time players locate a Anemograna they should put their Wind Catcher as their primary Gadget simply to recharge it so that they will always have a charge available in case they need it in the near future.
Players should note that they will also be able to use mutated Amenogranas that are found in Dragonspire as they will also charge the Wind Catcher, responding in the exact same way.
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND ABOUT THE WIND CATCHER
There are a few things players will want to keep in mind when it comes to the Wind Catcher:
Firstly, players will not be able to use the Wind Catcher if they are in combat, thus they will not be able to use the Wind Catcher to escape battle.
Secondly, players will not be able to collect any Anemograna while they are in another player’s world, essentially being unable to refuel their Wind Catcher in co-op, but still being able to consume charges.
