The Trial Tower is going to be one of the most important elements in all of Punball as it is going to be one of the only ways players can regularly grind out S-tier Gear, especially as it does not require players to rely on RNG to get the Gear that they want.
Admittedly, the Trial Tower can be difficult to complete when players first unlock it, however, as players begin upgrading their gear they will be able to “Blitz” through the Tower (pun intended).
The reality of playing the Trial Tower is that players will be able to progress fairly rapidly as long as they have the right Skills. As players will have a limited amount of attempts per week in the Trial Tower, players are going to want to make the most out of their adventures.
The Trial Tower resets on Sundays in Europe, though it resets on Mondays in Asia. The following guide will take you through everything you need to know about the Trial Tower including what Skills to use and what the rewards you can get from it are.
WHAT IS THE TRIAL TOWER?
The Trial Tower is considered to be an event, although it will always be available to players when they reach a certain stage threshold in Punball. Each week players will receive 20 Candles which means that they can progress a maximum of 20 Stages per week.
Each time a player attempts a Stage in the Trial Tower players will consume a Candle, meaning that players are going to want to make sure that they only attempt a stage when they are ready. Unfortunately, there is no way to get more Candles for the week, so once you blow the 20 Candles that’s it this week!
Players should note that the only resource consumed in the Trial Tower is the Candles, so you will not need to wait for your energy to replenish.
Now you may be saying… well there are hundreds of levels in the Trial Tower, how am I supposed to complete them all if I only have 20 Candles a week? Well, once players complete the 15th level of the Trial Tower they will gain access to Blitz, which allows you to jump ahead to previously completed stages, though I will cover more on this soon.
The Trial Tower is fairly straightforward. Each stage players will be able to select which main Boss they would like to be up against and upon completing players will receive the following rewards:
REWARDS FOR FIRST TIME COMPLETED (PER STAGE)
1,000 Trial Coins
Various amounts of Regular Coins
Various amounts of Gems
An Epic piece of Gear
REWARDS FOR REPEATING A STAGE YOU COMPLETED ALREADY
If players are re-clearing a stage (for the first time that week) they will only receive 100 Trial Coins. Though players can restart their adventures for that week, this will only allow players to choose new Skills as repeating already completed Stages for that week will yield no rewards.
Completing a Stage in the Trial Tower, whether it has been completed or not that week, will allow players to choose a single Skill. I will cover more on Skills shortly.
WHAT IS BLITZ?
As mentioned, players will unlock the ability to Blitz after they reach Stage 15. Every new week from now on, players can use a single Candle to jump to the Stage that’s 5 below your highest completed. So, if you’re at Stage30 you would be Blitz’d to Stage 25.
Blitzing is a great opportunity for players as they will gain all of the rewards from all the Stages they sped through, meaning if players Blitz to Stage 10 (because they completed up to 15) they will receive 1,000 Trial Coins simply for using Blitz.
Due to the Blitz mechanic, players will want to make sure they progress through the Trial Tower as fast as they can to get the most Trial Coins possible. Realistically players will always want to make sure they have the best equipment and best pets they can use in the Trial Tower to complete as many Stages as they can. As a tip, try to clear the Trial Tower towards Saturday or Sunday if you have time as this will ensure that you have time to upgrade all of your Gear before the reset.
If you’re not too stressed out, just complete it whenever you have the time as consuming all 20 Candles can take a good amount of time, especially because it does not consume energy.
WHAT SKILLS SHOULD I USE IN BLITZ?
Whether or not a player is using their Blitz or not, the choices players will want to make on Skills are the same. The only issue is… whenever you finish a round the Skills provided to you are going to be random and when you hit Blitz you will get to fill out a full roster of Skills.
Players are going to want to note that there are different levels of Skills in the Trial Tower that either provide players with more damage per type of ball or provide players with more balls. As soon as players see a Skill with a higher level, players will be able to use it when they Blitz in the future.
Players may have to be patient with how long it will take to get these upgraded Skills, however, they are always better to use.
As for the Skills players will want to use, I strongly suggest the following in this exact order. (Order matters as it will affect the order balls will appear in your lineup.)
Instakill Ball
Instakill Ball
Instakill Ball
Missile Ball
Missile Ball
Missile Ball
Missile Master
Ice Master
Frozen Ball
Frozen Ball
My reason for these suggestions:
Instakill Balls will help ensure that players are able to defeat enemies that have too much health for their tier of Gear. This will help make sure that players go through as many Stages as they can without having to stop for the week or having to repeat Stages because they were left incomplete.
Having Missiles after Instakill Balls is a great idea as it will make sure that Missiles only hit mobs that aren’t about to be killed.
Players will always want Missile Master and Ice Master as they will be the best for helping you get through stages. Freezing Balls will make sure that mobs don’t leak and Missile Master will make sure that you deal the most damage to the lowest health enemies with the various Missiles.
Players can also use Electric Balls, though I don’t really recommend the other Balls in the Trial Towers. I am, however, very interested in your opinions.
WHAT ARE THE REWARDS YOU CAN PURCHASE IN THE TRIAL TOWER?
The following are all the rewards you can purchase in the Trial Towers including my opinion of whether you should purchase them or not. Of course, players will want to make the decisions for themselves, however, I will explain why I recommend some over others.
COINS
Players can purchase 10,000 Coins, which I strongly recommend due to their inexpensive nature. Though I’m not a player who typically runs out of Coins, it’s always good to have them handy, especially as I’ve started buying the daily sale even if it’s not “worth it” so I can stockpile on goodies.
RANDOM SCROLLS
Players can purchase 5 random Scrolls a week. I recommend that players purchase this as well as Scrolls can feel tough to get, especially in the late stage of levelling up Gear. While there are events that provide players with Scrolls and Coins, it’s still a good idea to have as many as you can on hand.
TALENT STONE
Players can purchase 3-single Talent Stones per week and this is going to be your priority as Talent Stones are very rare and will provide you with massive boosts. I honestly would grab this weekly and never hesitate, even if you’re close to getting another piece of Gear.
RANDOM A GRADE RARE EQUIPMENT
Players can purchase a single A Grade Rare piece of Equipment a week, though I strongly advise against it. While it can be nice to get Rare Equipment as fodder, it’s not really that difficult to get them in the late game from regular Stages.
RANDOM A GRADE EPIC EQUIPMENT
Players can purchase a single A Grade Epic Equipment a week and I personally do. While folks can avoid doing this, it can come in handy for players who are grinding to get Honour Gear, though due to its RNG, it’s really not the best purchase. I’m currently sitting on needing a single Epic Bracer, which is why I keep buying, but in two weeks I haven’t gotten a single one. Odd eh?
HERMES BOOTS
Players can purchase a single set of Hermes Boots in the lifetime of the Trial Tower. As mouth-wetting as this may seem, I’m not a big fan of the Hermes Boots even though they are S grade.
If you’re someone who likes the Hermes Boots, grab ’em, but I refuse to.
DEMETER RING
Players can purchase a single set of Demeter Boots in the lifetime of the Trial Tower. Demeter’s Ring is a pretty good ring, though it’s very rare to grab one in another way. I would strongly recommend only making this purchase if you already have one you’d like to upgrade.
ARES CROWN
Players can purchase a single set of Ares Boots in the lifetime of the Trial Tower. The Ares Crown is a hit and miss piece of Gear and players are split on whether or not to use them. Admittedly, gaining Max Health for killing Monsters is great, but sometimes spawning in extra balls immediately with the Magic Crown is better, especially if those balls get trapped behind Monsters.
I would still recommend this Crown, though this wouldn’t be my first purchase.
HADES BRACER
Players can purchase a single set of Hades Boots in the lifetime of the Trial Tower. The Hades Bracer is the strongest Bracer in the game and I would strongly recommend getting this one first, especially if you already have one. It outranks all other Bracers fairly substantially and you won’t really need to look away other than when you’re just against a single boss.
ATHENA ROBE
Players can purchase a single set of Athena Boots in the lifetime of the Trial Tower. The Athena Robe is the absolute best Robe in the game and will provide you with a shield each round. Honestly, this is going to be the first Robe I push into Honour because I love it so much, even though there are some really good second candidates.
For some reason, the Athena Robe was the easiest piece of Gear to get multiple of, though this may be because of RNG.
POSEIDON WAND
Players can purchase a single set of Poseidon Wand in the lifetime of the Trial Tower. Although it’s not the best Weapon in the game, it’s a very, very good choice. Being able to knock back enemies, it’s my absolute favourite, though let’s be honest.. we all want the Zeus Wand.
S GRADE EPIC EQUIPMENT OF CHOICE
Although it costs more, the S Grade Epic Equipment of Choice is going to be your main focus to purchase each week. Admittedly, it’s quite impossible to be able to purchase one a week, though, by the time you unlock it, you will be getting over 5,000 Trial Coins a week.
Players should be able to unlock a new piece of Gear once every 5-10 weeks, depending on where they are in the Trial Tower and while that takes a good amount of time, it’s honestly not the worst.
I strongly suggest focussing on whatever piece of Gear you have at least one of instead of using it to start off a piece of Gear as the level of your Gear is much more important than its passive stats in many situations. For example, I currently have a Legend Athena Robe and an Epic Athena Robe, so I would buy it in the Trial Tower even though I want to start the Hades Bracer.
LEVEL 4 FIRE MASTER
The Level 4 Fire Master provides 40% Burning damage to enemies and spreads to surrounding Monsters. While it’s great, I wouldn’t recommend purchasing it.
LEVEL 4 ICE MASTER
The Level 4 Ice Master allows players to deal 100% damage with Frozen Balls and will have an increased chance to freeze. I strongly recommend purchasing it, especially as you will want to rely on Frozen Balls.
LEVEL 4 LIGHTNING MASTER
The Level 4 Lightning Master will make all lightning deal 40% more damage and will allow Lightning to hit 2 extra targets. This is a great purchase, though I personally do not use Lightning Balls in the Tower Trials. If you do, do this up!
LEVEL 4 MISSILE MASTER
The Level 4 Missile Master is phenomenal as it will cause all Missles to deal 40% more damage and will also fire an extra Missle for each Missle. I strongly recommend this bad-boy as it will greatly improve your damage, especially because Missiles auto-target the lowest-health Monster.
LEVEL 4 LASER MASTER
The Level 4 Missle Master isn’t actually great as it will improve damage by 40% and will cause the Laser to shoot in all 4 directions. Honestly, as good as Lasers can sometimes be… they’re very unreliable.
LEVEL 4 SHADOW CLONE
The Level 4 Shadow Clone may seem like a great purchase, but realistically it requires players to get 100 combos in order to clone a ball. *cough* why.
LEVEL 4 INVINCIBLE COVER
The Level 4 Shadow Clone is alright for players who are struggling with Health, though in my opinion it’s not worth the buy, especially given the new Artifacts. Invincible Cover will trigger every 6 Rounds, so it takes a bit longer than usual.

Shadow clone is still great and have saved me a looooooot of time with killing the bosses when anything get stuck it’s love lol. I remember practically OHKO on a lvl 118 boss because of the guards doing immune help and a ball got stuck in a certain way and took out 90% hp of the boss before time ran out and triggering withdrawal of everything
