Although I have to admit that I’m not a huge cold or snow person, even though I spent the majority of my life living in Canada, I have to say that there are a number of maps that I really enjoyed in the Winter Horns area.
Overall, I have to say that I have enjoyed the majority of the levels and styling in Kirby and the Forgotten Land and the game as a whole has been a breath of fresh air, especially because the developers have re-imagined so much in the game, making it quite unique in comparison to the other Kirby games.
Many of the stand out points of Kirby and the Forgotten Land have to be with the abilities and their upgrades, though for me my completionist heart was complete as soon as I found out that Missions were available for players to complete.
Although I played the Demo of Kirby and the Forgotten Land on Twitch, when I got the full game I was concerned they took out the Missions due to the the Tutorial Stage not having any Missions, but shortly after when in Downtown Grasslands they popped up again and my heart was filled.
Though I’m personally a completionist, I recognize that not every player will be like me, so I thought I would share the way that I 100% completed Kirby and the Forgotten Land so you can choose which Missions you want to complete and which you want to ignore.
The following is a guide for Metro on Ice so players can complete all of the Missions available to them and retrieve all of the Capsules.

CLEAR STAGE
As is with all other stages in the game, players will receive three Waddle Dees simply for completing the level.
SAVE THE HIDDEN WADDLE DEES
WADDLE DEE #1
Near the end of the first area, before players reach the subway stairs, players will see 4 nails with stars on them.
Players will need to smash all four of these nails down in order to reveal a false floor below it that contains a hidden Waddle Dee.
WADDLE DEE #2
Located in in the secret passage number one players will have to collect green diamond pieces in order to rescue the first Waddle Dee.
Quite frankly, these are very blatant, so players should not have any difficult finding them but they are here:
The first one is on the main platform
The second one is to the left of the main platform
The third one is on the right, though players must use the hammer to press a wooden button to redeem it.
The fourth is hidden behind a fence where players must avoid being hit by Goros
The last one is inside of the BBQ which players need to use their Mouthful Mode to take off the lid.
Finding all of these diamond pieces will unlock a gate that reveals the second Waddle Dee.
WADDLE DEE #3
After players locate the second secret passage they can choose to use Mouthful Mode on the locker in order to reveal an Invincibility Lollipop to get through next section.
Players do not need the Invincibility Lollipop in order to get through this section, though it will take a bit longer as there are some tougher mobs that take a good number of hits to defeat.
Essentially, before players head to the next section they will want to climb up the ladder on the left in order to find a chest that has a hidden Waddle Dee.
WADDLE DEE #4
This section needs some good timing as players will need to use their Cone Mouth to break the ice in the location of the moving wall. This takes place after players locate the third Capsule.
If players are standing on beside the walls that are outward they will be pushed off the edge and will die.
Players will have to walk under the wall in order to find a broken pipe that will take them up to a new area. Up here players must wait for the wall to extend out so they can obtain the final Waddle Dee.
STAND ON TOP OF 2 TRAINS
As someone who tends to walk around the world and look for every nook and cranny I found this Mission easy to complete, though I can understand folks missing it, especially because players may assume that these areas are unreachable to them as typically this is true in levels.
When players pass the Capsule #1 they will need to locate the various trains available to them in this area.
TRAIN #1
Players will see a set of yellow subway chairs to the right of them, behind this is the first train.
Players can fly directly from the yellow chairs, even though typically they wouldn’t be able to and players may see a shiny sparkle up here that they can interact with in order to get Star Coins. Truthfully, the sparkle is what enticed me to try to get on the train, so if you’re not close enough don’t blame yourself too much for missing the first train.
You will only see the sparkle if you are close enough to the train.
TRAIN #2
After players complete the short battle with the lesser mobs they will have to head to the left of this area to fly on top of the second train.
Players will need to jump on the white iceberg, then will have to climb the scaffolding to get to this train as they will not be able to simply fly on top of it.
FIND 2 SECRET PASSAGES
There are a couple of secret passages that players are going to want to locate in Metro on Ice as they reveal some great rewards.
I have to say, while quite simple to get to, they can be easily skipped by players who aren’t fully aware of the mechanics in Kirby.
SECRET PASSAGE #1
The first secret passage is found shortly after players locate Capsule #1.
Players will need to smack three nails in order to make the wall they are on disappear. There are two Nails on the wall facing the player and there is a third just to the right of the wall.
SECRET PASSAGE #2
Shortly after players find the second Waddle Dee players will reach a set of turnstiles with a barricade to the right of them. Admittedly, this secret passage can easily go missed as it’s not the most clear.
Players will have to head behind the barricade on the right in order to find an area with a locker in it that they must use Mouthful Mode on.
CHECK INSIDE THE SHIPPING CONTAINER
After players locate the fourth Waddle Dee players will want to continue heading to the right across a thin bridge in order to make it to some palates that players must use in order to hop up to a Shipping Container that contains cardboard boxes.
Players will need to stand inside of this Shipping Container and break the Cardboard Boxes in order to actually reveal the Mission.
CAPSULE LOCATIONS
CAPSULE #1
Very early on in the level players will have to learn how to deal with the slipping on ice mechanic and will need to head to the right of the first slippery platform past the billboard to shoot two boxes.
The second box will reveal a platform with a Capsule on it.
CAPSULE #2
After players rescue Waddle Dee #1, players are going to want to keep track of any nails that appear hidden around the world.
The nails that associate with Capsule 2 are hidden shortly after players make it through the area with the barricades and ice.
One is very blatant on the wall facing the player and one is facing to the right.
Smash both of these to make that wall rise and reveal the Capsule.
CAPSULE #3
At some point of the game, players will see a moving structure that resembles steps.
Players will want to take these steps in order to gain the Mouthful Mode that allows them to swallow a Cone.
Take this Cone and crash into the metal boxes to reveal a button that will help move the platform below.
Under the platform is going to be a crack in the ice that players can break with the Cone Mouth.
CAPSULE #4
After players save Waddle Dee #4 players will have to continue heading to the right in order to follow a path that will take them to a shipping crate that has a bunch of cardboard boxes which will reveal the final Capsule of the stage.
