When it comes to Genshin Impact it feels like there is never a dull moment, especially when players are newer and are spending a good amount of their time exploring around the world.
Along the way players will locate a number of puzzles and different devices they will have to unlock in order to progress their world and essentially get a lot of loot.
One of my favourites to this date is the Tianqiu Valley Puzzle and while at first I was completely confused as to what it is I was supposed to do, the answer is that I unlocked steps that I wasn’t even aware of and just had to circle back in order to progress this part.
The Tianqiu Valley Puzzle is something that you’re going to want to finish as soon as it is available to you, simply because it gives players a good amount of resources in comparison to some of the other Puzzles, being that it ends with 3 Luxurious Chests which will provide players with good amount of loot, high yields of Adventure Experience and Primogems for days.
HOW TO START THE TIANQIU VALLEY PUZZLE
To begin players must head to the location right next to the T in Tianqiu on the map, essentially in the centre of the three circular towers.
Players will be able to initially ignore these three Towers as there is no way to actually get into them before activating the puzzle, though the activation of the puzzle is much easier than a player would assume, which was my issue with this puzzle as I didn’t realize I actually unlocked the Towers at first.
To begin these quests players will be able to locate a table in the centre of the Towers that is next to a statue that is surrounded by three triangle holes in the floor.
Players will have to head to the three Towers in order to locate the triangles that will ultimately come into the floor in order to complete this puzzle.
As soon as players read the inscription they will receive a quest called “Unlock the Secret of Tianqiu Valley) which requires players to complete the three different challenges in the Towers, which will be thoroughly covered below.
THE SOUTHERN TOWER
By far the easiest of all of these quests is the Southern tower as all it will be is monoliths that spawn mobs that players must defeat.
The first quest requires players to kill mobs in 40 seconds.
The second quest requires players to defeat 5 mobs in 60 seconds.
The third floor also requires players to defeat 5 mobs in 60 seconds.
Once players have defeated all three tiers, players will have to grab first Triangle Piece that you can put in the statue below.
Make sure you grab it before you head down as you’ll have to run back and grab it if you don’t.
The Triangle is in a pillar of Light.
THE NORTHERN TOWER
The Northern Tower can be one of the most frustrating Puzzles to complete as it requires players to use a bit of logic.
Players will need a Pyro Character being characters like Amber, Bennett, Xiangling, Diluc, Yanfei or Klee, though the character you use doesn’t really matter.
I would strongly recommend using a Pyro character that has a short cooldown on their Pyro abilities as players will need to regularly ignite Torches and switch up patterns.
The premise of this challenge is that when a player ignites a torch, the two torches connected to the initial torch lit (seen by the markings on the floor) will also be ignited.
If players ignite a Torch that is connected to an already lit Torch, the connected Torch will turn off, meaning that a player will need to be careful about the way they light these Torches so they’re not just stuck in a loop of igniting random Torches.
The following is a guide for each of the floors so players can complete the quest as quickly and painlessly as possible.
THE FIRST PUZZLE
The First Puzzle is by far the easiest as it only requires players to ignite two torches.
The procedure a player should take is the following:
Light the Torch closest to the Treasure Chest
Light the Torch in the Middle Row, closest to the entrance.
THE SECOND PUZZLE
The Second Puzzle is a bit more difficult as it features a star shaped pattern on the floor and while I would love to pretend that I am perfect and that I knew exactly what I was supposed to do in order to ignite these Torches quickly, the reality is that I lit these in the wrong order, essentially meaning that I spent a lot of time repeating the same patterns over and over to ensure that the Torches were off.
In order to quickly do this puzzle in the fastest way possible players will have to follow the following steps:
Light all the Torches that are furthest on the left
Light all the Torches that are furthest on the right
Light all the Torches that are furthest in the back
Light all the Torches closest to the front
Light Torches left to right until they are all lit
TOP FLOOR
To be honest, as much as players say this is the most difficult puzzle of them all, I actually had no difficulty with it and that’s probably because I did it by mistake.
The following is the way I ignited all of these Torches:
Light the Torches above the Chest
Light the Torches on the Opposite Wall
Light the Torches on the Right Wall
Light the Torches on the Left Wall.
Players can also essentially light these Torches in a circle if I’m correct, but if I’m mistaken use the guide above.
This should acquire you the second Triangle Piece that you can put in the statue below.
Make sure you grab it before you head down as you’ll have to run back and grab it if you don’t.
The Triangle is in a pillar of Light.
THE WESTERN TOWER
To me, this was the most challenging task to achieve as I don’t have Venti, however, any Geo Character that can place an object on the ground works, meaning that players can use the Geo Traveller or Zhongli to complete this quest.
Essentially players have 60 seconds to get to the top of the Tower and will not be able to do so on their own without the help of one of their character’s ability.
I essentially used the Geo Traveler’s abilities in combination with Zhongli’s ability to get up, using any of the stone platforms that I could as a resting place.
This is by far the most frustrating to complete as sometimes the placement of the Geo structures can be off and essentially make it so a player struggles to make their way up.
Be ready for a few tries unless you’re using Venti, cause damn is Geo placement hard.
This should acquire you the third Triangle Piece that you can put in the statue below.

REWARDS FOR COMPLETING THE TIANQIU VALLEY PUZZLE
Upon completing the 3 Tianqiu Valley Puzzles players will receive 3 Luxurious Chest.
These chests contain Primogems, Artifacts, Weapons and Weapon Enhancement Materials and will provide players with a good amount of Adventure Experience.
It’s way easier to use the travler with the geo elemental and use the geo boulders to make climbable objects to get to the third floor once you know to place them.
