Amber is going to be the second character that players have access to for free when playing Genshin Impact after completing Prologue Act I: The Outlander Who Caught the Wind’s quest: Winds of The Past.
Amber is a Pyro ranged character who wields a Bow and while not the most powerful character, does provide players with a good amount of capabilities, especially because she will allow players to avoid taking damage due to her long range capabilities.
Players will often want to quest with Amber at least until players have access to stronger characters or characters who can hold their own ground whether they are ranged or melee.
Shortly after players gain access to Amber, players will be required to use her ability to burn down different elements of the world in order to progress.
Amber opens up new features that are only accessible to Pyro characters and begins the journey of having to do challenges that require specific elements in order to progress.
TALENTS
BASIC ATTACKS
As a basic attack Amber will be able to shoot 5 consecutive shots with her bow.
If players hold down Amber’s auto attack, or if they use “R” or the console equivalent, players will be able to access Amber’s Charged Attack which is a more precise Aimed Shot that increases damage and when fully charged will deal Pyro Damage.
While Amber is the area she will be able to fire arrows from the sky, dealing massive AoE Damage upon impact.
ABILITY 1
Amber’s first ability is the Explosive Puppet which allows players to summon the Baron Bunny.
Once the Baron Bunny is out it will continuously taunt the enemy, essentially taking all of the damage enemies try to deal.
Upon being destroyed the Baron Bunny will explode dealing AoE Pyro damage.
The Baron Bunny has the same Maximum Health as Amber’s Maximum Health.
When it comes to targeting the Baron Bunny, players will be able to throw it in any direction and will be able to throw it further based on how long they hold down the trigger key.
ABILITY 2
Amber’s second ability is Fiery Range. Fiery Range will allow players to damage all enemies in the range using continuous AoE Pyro Damage.
1ST ASCENSION PASSIVE
Upon upgrading Amber to the 1st Ascension, players will gain their first passive which increases the Critical Hit rate that is dealt by Fiery Rain by 10%.
Fiery Range will also expand its AoE by 30%.
4TH ASCENSION PASSIVE
Upon upgrading Amber to the 4th Ascension, players will gain their second passive which will allow Aimed Shot, their charged attack that is accessed by using R or the console equivalent, to increase in damage by 15% for 10 seconds.
UTILITY PASSIVE
As a passive, Amber is able to glide for longer by 20% due to Stamina depleting less quickly, this will extend to all members of the party as long as Amber is actively part of the group.
It should be noted that Amber’s passive will not be active if another character has the same one on the team.
TALENT LEVELING MATERIALS

Talents can be levelled up by heading into the Talents tab when in a character’s profile, though players will not be able to do this until they have ascended at least one time.
Levelling talents will essentially make the talents more powerful.

COMMON ASCENSION MATERIAL
Ascensions essentially allow players to upgrade their characters beyond certain thresholds. Each ascension has a cap on how many levels the player will be able to level up their character before they are technically forced to ascend their character.
The following are items players can receive in order to complete their talent upgrades after Ascensions:

CONSTELLATION
As players are trying to ascend their characters players will also want to unlock pieces of their Constellation which will add more passives or upgrades to their talents.
Constellations can be upgraded using the Stella Fortuna.
Players will be able to gather Stella Fortuna by collecting duplicates of the character, though realistically players will probably not want to waste their time collecting Stella Fortuna for Amber.
The issue with Stella Fortuna is that it is bound to the character you collect it with and thus will not be useful for any other character.
The following are the Constellations players can acquire for Amber.
LEVEL 1 – ONE ARROW TO RULE THEM ALL
Upon upgrading Amber with the second Constellation players will unlock One Arrow To Rule Them All.
With this upgrade whenever players use Aimed Shot, players will fire 2 arrows instead of one.
Players will deal 20% of the damage from the first arrow with the second arrow.
The Second arrow is shot 10 degrees below the first arrow.
The second arrow has its own critical damage gauge, meaning that there is the chance that both arrows won’t critically damage.
With this upgrade, the first arrow also has the capability to travel further without dropping.
LEVEL 2 – BUNNY TRIGGERED
Upon upgrading Amber with the second Constellation players will unlock Bunny Triggered which will cause the Baron Bunny to become upgraded.
Players will now be able to attack the Baron Bunny with a fully-charged Aimed Shot to manually detonate it, essentially dealing 200% additional damage.
LEVEL 3 – IT BURNS!
Upon upgrading Amber with the third Constellation players will unlock It Burns! which will increase the level of Fiery Rain by 3.
It should be noted that the maximum a player can upgrade Fiery Rain is to level 15.
LEVEL 4 – IT’S NOT JUST ANY DOLL…
Upon upgrading Amber with the fourth Constellation players will unlock It’s Not Just Any Doll… which will both give the player a second charge and will reduce it’s cooldown by 20%.
LEVEL 5 – IT’S BARON BUNNY
Upon upgrading Amber with the fifth Constellation players will unlock It’s Baron Bunny which increases the level of Explosive Puppet by 3.
Similar to Sweeping Gust, it should be noted that the maximum level of Explosive Puppet is level 15.
LEVEL 6 – WILDFIRE
Upon upgrading Amber with the sixth Anemo Constellation players will unlock Wildfire which will increase the entire party’s movement speed by 15% and their attack speed by 15% for 10 seconds.
