The Bomb Shooter is an extremely strong Tower that players can use in the majority of maps, especially if they are trying to deal with Lead Bloons.
When it comes to placing a Bomb Shooter, players will have to make their choice of placement based on what it is the player is trying to get done.
In most cases Bomb Shooters are used to deal with large hoards of bloons, though Path 2 Bomb Shooters are fairly impeccable at dealing with MOAB-class bloons.
The following guide will take you through everything you need to know about the Bomb Shooter and which tier-5 Bomb Shooter is the best choice for players to upgrade to for their uses.
PATH 1 TIER-5 BOMB SHOOTER – BLOON CRUSH
The Path 1 Bomb Shooter, known as the Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter is a fairly impactful tower that players can place in hopes of stunning all types of bloons including MOAB-class bloons for a maximum of 2 seconds.
The Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter is most impactful against groups of bloons as it will help players buy time before the bloons begin leaking.
Bloon Crush Bomb Shooters work best when placed on tracks that cross over each other as doing so will ensure that the Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter has the most opportunities to stun bloons that are planning on leaking.
Players are recommended to always put a Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter on “Close” targeting, especially if it is directly placed where a path laps over itself as this will ensure that a player has the chance to hit the most bloons at once.
Bloon Crush Bomb Shooters are definitely a support tower that is most notable for their ability to shred through Ceramic Bloons though players will still want to have a strong Tower placed nearby such as the Sun Avatar to make use of the stun that the Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter provides.
Other options include Wizard Monkeys, Druid and even some forms of Mortar Monkeys which have increased attack speed. When paired with a Crossbow Master players should have a significantly easier time shredding through bloons quickly simply due to the immense attack speed and chance for critical hits that they have.
The major downfall of a Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter is its attack speed and while useful for the amount of stunning power that it has, players may suffer from bloons leaking.
Players can try to help improve the attack speed of a Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter by cross pathing with Path 2 as this will provide players with a small speed buff. Still, players will want to make sure that they have other towers to assist the Bomb Shooter with some extra damage.
Players can also increase the attack speed of a Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter by using a Monkey Village with Jungle Drums (2/-/-) and can be further enhanced with Radar Scanner (-/2/-) in order to damage Dark Dirigible Titans (DDTs) which are usually hidden with their Camo properties.
Players who are hoping to place a Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter will want to use a Hero like Striker Jones as this will essentially ensure that the Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter deals more damage to bloons.
Players in all cases will want to cross path a tier-5 Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter with Path 2 as cross pathing with Path 3 will only provide the Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter with more range and AoE damage which is absolutely not necessary, especially when a player places the Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter in the ideal placement where the track overlaps.
In reality Path 3 will greatly reduce the amount of damage and the frequency of stunning a player will have access to if they cross path with Path 2.
Bloon Crush Bomb Shooters are most useful when players do not want to place a Boomerang Monkey with MOAB Destroyer.
While players can use both of these towers in order to effectively deal with MOABs, players will want to make their choice on which to use based on what track they are playing on.
Bomb Shooters are better on maps where the track overlaps while Boomerang Monkeys are much better for maps that have winds and turns that will not provide players with enough surface area to make the Bomb Shooter effective.
For this reason, I don’t see too much use for the Bomb Shooter as many of the harder maps do not have cross over tracks, so many of the other upgrades are ranked higher for me.
PATH 2 TIER-5 BOMB SHOOTER – MOAB ELIMINATOR
The Path 2 Tier-5 Bomb Shooter is my favourite by far as it provides players with a great amount of damage against MOAB-class bloons.
It’s no secret that MOAB-class bloons are the toughest type of bloon to deal with in Bloons TD 6 so the more help you can receive when trying to deal with them, the better.
MOAB Eliminator Bomb Shooters have an ability that deals 4,500 damage to a MOAB-class bloon and has a 10 second cooldown, making it extremely useful when against MOAB-class bloons.
MOAB Eliminator Bomb Shooters will deal 100 damage per shot when MOAB-class bloons are in range making them useful against all types of MOAB-class bloons.
It should be noted that the MOAB Eliminator ability is a global ability, meaning that players can essentially keep spamming the ability every 10 seconds in order to sort out all of the tough baddies.
MOAB Eliminators are most notable for crushing Zeppelins of Mighty Gargantuaness (ZOMGs) and Big Airships of Doom (BADs).
Players will always want to set their MOAB Eliminators to “Strong” targeting as this will ensure that only the strongest MOAB-class bloons are damaged.
Unfortunately the MOAB Eliminator Bomb Shooter isn’t the best at dealing with MOABs that are too close to each other and will require support from other towers such as the MOAB Destroyer Boomerang Monkey.
When it comes to cross pathing a Path 2 MOAB Eliminator Bomb Shooter, players should cross path using Path 1 to maximize the amount of damage each shot takes.
Path 3 will however provide players with some extra range as well as the ability to let the MOAB Eliminator to hit multiple MOABs at once. While this may seem like a better option it does greatly reduce the amount of damage the MOAB Eliminator can cause.
Similar to Path 1, players will want to pair up a MOAB Eliminator with Striker Jones as it will raise its attack speed, pierce and range. Players can also use his Concussive Shell to freeze the MOAB in front of the MOAB Eliminator to essentially make sure that it deals the most damage it can cause.
If players want to “cheat” and use the MOAB Eliminator ability multiple times, players can keep selling and placing the MOAB Eliminator as there is no initial cool down when the MOAB Eliminator is placed. You’re welcome!
By far, the MOAB Eliminator is always placed in my games as it is the most useful tier-5 Bomb Shooter a player can place.
PATH 3 TIER-5 BOMB SHOOTER – BOMB BLITZ
The Bomb Blitz Bomb Shooter is a tower that I originally wrote off as a useless tower, but after pairing it up with a Monkey Village with Monkey Intelligence Bureau (-/3/-), the Bomb Blitz Bomb Shooter is impeccable for destroying hoards of bloons.
Bomb Blitz Bomb Shooters will destroy bloons quickly and efficiently and if a bloon leaks below a ZOMG, the Bomb Blitz Bomb Shooter will destroy all bloons on screen other than ZOMGs and BADs which will instead take 2,000 damage.
The Bloon Blitz ability can only be activated every 40 seconds or every round, though it should be noted that the cool down is based on which takes longer to activate. There is never an occurrence where a player can activate Bomb Blitz twice per round. Well, that is unless players are using Striker Jone’s Artillery Command ability.
Luckily this means that players will be able to shred through almost all bloon types including DDTs as the Bomb Blitz Bomb Shooter has access to Camo detection, making it great for dealing with Camo Bloons.
Bomb Blitz Bomb Shooters will also be able to deal with Black and Zebra Bloons making it a strikingly strong Tower.
Bomb Blitz Bomb Shooters deal a good amount of damage to groups of bloons making it the most versatile Bomb Shooter in the game and when paired up with Path 2 players will gain a good amount of attack speed, allowing them to deal much more damage than they would with the damage increase from Path 1.
As players will not be able to lose a life in Impoppable or C.H.I.M.P.S. players will not make much use of the Bomb Blitz Bomb Shooter.
Outside of the passive ability players can still use a Bomb Blitz Bomb Shooter to clear waves of bloons.
Players will want to treat a Bomb Blitz Bomb Shooter similar to a Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter, setting it to “Close” and placing it on a track that has an overlap. This will ensure that the Bomb Shooter does damage to the highest amount of bloons.
CONCLUSION
While players may find use in all Bomb Shooter towers it is highly recommended that players use a tier-5 Path 2 MOAB Eliminators as it will deal with MOAB-class bloons the best.
Players will want to use a Path 1 Bloon Crush Bomb Shooter if they are provided with a track that has overlay as this will ensure that players have some extra time to destroy MOAB-class bloons as well as lower tier bloons. Though these are less useful, especially if tracks don’t have a cross over.
The second best Bomb Shooter, in my opinion is the Bomb Blitz Bomb Shooter as it not only has a passive ability that demolishes all kinds of bloons that are on the screen, though also has a good amount of damage against clumped bloons.
Even if players don’t have a path that crosses over itself the Bomb Blitz Bomb Shooter is extremely useful.
So, I’m curious. Do you have a preference of Bomb Shooter? Is it also Path 2 MOAB Eliminator your favourite or do you have a better strategy? Let me know in the comments below!
