HOW MUCH IS BTD6? HOW MUCH DOES BTD6 COST?
Bloons Tower Defense 6 normally costs around $9.99 USD though this will depend on what game market you purchase it on.
Steam, which is my preferred method of purchasing games, tends to have many sales on this game and it has been included in this year’s Summer Sale as well as Autumn sale dropping significantly to the price of $0.99.
On mobile, BTD6 comes at around $6.99 USD though this also is platform dependant. I’ve kept my eye on the mobile sales and it doesn’t seem like this version of the game receives many discounts, though if it does it is very, very rare.
If you’re just starting out with the game or haven’t made a firm decision on if you want it, I strongly recommend getting it for the PC or Mac first as it sees many more sales than on mobile.
WHEN WILL BTD6 BE FREE?
At this time there seems to be no set date on when BTD6 will be free.
It can be safely assumed that players will not see a free version of this game anytime soon as the Ninja Kiwi developers have been pushing a number of updates and events, especially in the most recent days.
As mentioned, if you’re hoping for a free version of this game I would recommend tracking Steam sales or general sales that happen in the Play Store or App Store as this will be your safest way of buying the game for a greatly reduced price.
DO I GET BTD6 FOR FREE ON MOBILE IF I BOUGHT IT ON PC?
No, unfortunately if you do not get a free copy of BTD6 if you have purchased it on an equivalent platform.
While players will be able to connect their BTD6 game file on multiple platforms they will be required to purchase it on any extra platforms they want to play it on.
CAN YOU PLAY BTD6 ON MAC?
Yes, you can play BTD6 on a Mac, though this will depend on your Mac’s specifications.
Being an avid MacBook user for my music I can say that running it on my MacBook tends to make it overheat, but I can usually get to level 100 with relative ease.
Going beyond level 100 has gotten the game to crash in the past, so you may not want to risk it, especially if you don’t want any concerns of damage to your Mac.
IS IT WORTH BUYING BTD6 ON MULTIPLE PLATFORMS?
Unlike BATTD, which sees a difference in currency usage due to the ability to watch advertisements, BTD6 does not see any changes to gameplay or currency.
For that reason it may not be worth it to buy BTD6 on multiple platforms, though if players want to ensure that they do their daily tasks regularly or always have access to completing their achievements I would recommend getting BTD6 on PC and Mobile.
Otherwise, the Mobile version of the game tends to see less use for players as depending on the phone you’re running the game on you’re going to see a lot more lag. For that reason alone I recommend running BTD6 on a computer verses on a mobile device.
CAN BTD6 CROSSPLAY?
Yes, players will be able to crossplay on BTD6 meaning that players can play against their friends on any platform when in co-op.
Although crossplay is possible it is not always the most functional as mobile devices tend to lag more than desktops, meaning that players may experience a number of interruptions throughout gameplay.
While annoying, this isn’t always a problem as players will have 30 seconds to reconnect to the game before the player is ultimately kicked out of the room.
HOW MANY PLAYERS DOES BTD6 HAVE?
BTD6 Supports a maximum of 4 players at a time, though players can also select 2 or 3 players to be accepted for a Co-op game.
CAN BTD6 BE PLAYED OFFLINE?
Absolutely! Though it should be noted that there are some aspects to the game that require internet.
Playing through regular levels will always be possible as well as the daily challenges as long as players have previously loaded them using their Mobile Network or WiFi earlier in the day.
The only aspects of the game that will not function when players are not online are Co-Op games and Race Events if not previously loaded to their device.
Note that offline functionality will work the same way on all devices, so you PC players will still be unable to access certain aspects of the game when there is no internet access.
There are some instances where an update is put through which will lead a player to be unable to access BTD6 on their mobile devices even if they have previously loaded the game on their phone. This most commonly happens when there is a seasonal event such as the 4th of July, Christmas or other holidays, though as soon as a player installs the update they will be able to play offline once more.
HOW DO YOU UNLOCK MAPS ON BTD6?
To unlock maps on BTD6 players must complete maps of an easier difficulty. This includes maps with different internal difficulties such as Easy, Medium and Hard, maps with different rules such as Deflation, Primary Monkeys Only, Military Monkeys Only, Magic Monkeys only, as well as the final two modes being Impoppable and C.H.I.M.P.S.
If players wish to unlock all maps before the different difficulties it is recommended that players play through the Easy mode of every map in order before progressing onto the different game modes. This will be the fastest way to unlock all maps.
WHY CAN’T I PLAY THE BTD6 DAILY CHALLENGE?
In many cases when a player is unable to play the BTD6 daily challenge it is because their device does not have internet connection and cannot download the game files required to load the challenge.
In rare cases players will have to uninstall the game or app in order to fix a glitch.
If players are still unable to play their daily challenges they should contact Ninja Kiwi’s support as there may be a problem with your account.
If players are accessing BTD6 on Steam, uninstalling the game may not be enough to fix the glitch and instead players will also need to delete all of their game files. This is not usually an issue unless players have not synced their gameplay to an e-mail, Ninja Kiwi Account, Google Account, etc.
Before deleting your game files always make sure that they are backed up somewhere else, whether it be on your computer or on the cloud.
BTD6 CAN’T CONNECT AND I KEEP GETTING AN ERROR!
Although rare, there are some instances where players will be unable to connect to the BTD6 server even if they are connected to a mobile network, WiFi and even more rarely, ethernet.
In cases like this it is recommended that players restart their router, their mobile devices, network preferences or simply disconnect their ethernet and reconnect it.
If the error continues players are either recommended to wait out this period as there may be something wrong with the game’s server or are recommended to contact the Ninja Kiwi support.
WHY DOES BTD6 KEEP CRASHING?
The reason for BTD6 crashing ultimately depends on what device you are playing on.
In most cases when BTD6 crashes it’s due to files being corrupted from a misfired update, though it can also be a sign that one of your drivers needs to be updated when on a PC or Mac.
In these cases it is a good idea to see whether your device requires an update and/or a reinstallation of the game.
If further issues arise it is strongly recommended that players contact Ninja Kiwi support.
WHY DOES BTD6 START ON ROUND 3?
When playing on Hard Mode of any map on BTD6 players will be thrown into Round 3.
Players will not be given the cash they would have received from previous rounds, however, this isn’t usually an issue as players should have the added benefit on a number of Monkey Knowledge perks.
WHY DOES BTD6 START ON ROUND 6?
When playing Impoppable or C.H.I.M.P.S. (also in Hard Mode) players will be thrown into Round 6.
As is with the other Hard Mode levels, players will not be given the cash they would have received from previous rounds and makes the game quite a bit more challenging.
It is recommended that players start off Round 6 with two Dart Monkeys to combat this as they are the cheapest tower to place.
HOW MANY MONKEYS ARE IN BTD6?
BTD6 features 16 Monkey Towers and 5 other Towers, equalling to a total of 21 Towers that can be placed.
There are 6 Primary Towers, 6 Military Towers, 5 Magic Towers and 4 Support Towers.
Besides these towers there are 11 Hero Towers players can choose from, only being able to select a single Hero for each map unless they use a mod to be able to place more.
WHAT IS C.H.I.M.P.S.?
C.H.I.M.P.S. is the hardest game mode in BTD6 and will feature a map that does not allow players to generate any income outside of popping bloons, the inability to sell Towers, the inability to use any Powers, only 1 Life and the inability to “continue” after they have lost the game.
HOW TO GET A BLACK BORDER?
Players may notice that more advanced players have black borders on their maps. Fear not, there is nothing special about the black borders as it is only a signifier that the player has completed all the difficulties of that particular map.
WHERE IS ODYSSEY MODE?
Players may be confused when they can locate the Odyssey Mode on some days and not others, Fear not, Odyssey Mode is not missing and hasn’t gone away for forever, but instead is just not available for that period of time.
Odyssey mode only lasts for a few days at a time and often has a few days where the Ninja Kiwi team is developing the next race to take place.
HOW OFTEN DOES BTD6 UPDATE?
Updates for BTD6 take place every 3 or 4 days especially when it comes to Race Events and Odyssey Mode Events.
BTD6 also goes through micro updates that change the balance of Towers in order to make sure that they are strong enough and not overpowered.
WHAT DOES CROSSPATH MEAN IN BTD6?
A Crosspath is when players select multiple upgrade paths for a Tower to take.
Players will only be able to choose 2 of the 3 paths to upgrade a single Tower, however will be able to upgrade one path to tier-5 and the other only to tier-2.
