All Ranged Pixelings & When To Use Them | PewDiePie’s Pixelings

Last Updated January 4, 2021 By Johnny Salib / FlamingGaymer Leave a Comment

Ranged Pixelings are the easiest Pixelings to use in PewDiePie’s Pixelings.

Ranged Pixelings attack the enemy Pixeling that is directly in front of them and often come with abilities that strengthen their attacks or buff their teammates.

Ranged Pixelings don’t have a solid amount of health, making them fairly easy to kill, so make sure that you take a spell that helps compliment your Ranged Pixelings to make sure they are on the field as long as possible.

The following are my thoughts on all of the current Ranged Pixelings and whether or not they are worth putting on your team.

This list has all of the pixelings from Arena, BroTown, and Floatopia. This page will be updated once Slumberland and Crushtopia are released.

COMMON PIXELINGS

Common Pixelings can be upgraded to a Power Rank of 443.

The maximum level a Common Pixeling can be is Level 50 and the maximum rank a Common Pixeling can be is Rank 12.

Common Pixelings will do more damage than Uncommon Pixelings, however, Common Pixelings lack Passive Abilities.

EDGAR

Sub-Category: Saboteur

Max Health: 1497

Max Base Damage:  363

Charge Ability: Drain // Removes 2 Charges

Turns to Charge: 3

When to Use: Edgar isn’t the best Pixeling to use but can be helpful if you need to use Drain and don’t want to put Ozzy on your team.

The main issue with Edgar is the fact that his Charge Ability, Drain, takes too long to activate, especially if you need to defer an enemy Pixeling from attacking you.

PEWDS

Sub-Category: Assasin

Max Health: 1245

Max Base Damage: 447

Charge Ability: Heavy Attack // Deals Heavy Damage // Up to 896

Turns to Charge: 3

When to Use: Pewds is useful for early game progression, especially because Pewds is farmable from a number of levels.

Once you start grinding Floatopia chances are you’re going to start benching Pewds because other Pixelings are going to be higher powered.

Pewds also doesn’t do as much damage as other Pixelings, especially in comparison to Falcon who you can use Energize on to maximize damage.

RUDY

Sub-Category: Support

Max Health: 1791

Max Base Damage: 321

Charge Ability: Bubble Shield Back // Grants a 1-hit shield to the Pixeling(s) in the Back Position

Turns to Charge: 5

When to Use: Rudy has a great charge ability, but is currently completely useless.

The main reason Rudy is useless is that it takes too long to use it’s the ability Bubble Shield Back. As much as having two Bubble Shields would be very helpful, especially when you’re under level, chances are doing more damage will get you further than using Rudy.

If you are going to use Rudy, chances are you’re going to need to put the ability Energize on your kit.

UNCOMMON PIXELINGS

Uncommon Pixelings can be upgraded to a Power Rank of 443.

The maximum level a Common Pixeling can be is Level 50 and the maximum rank a Common Pixeling can be is Rank 10.

Uncommon Pixelings do not have Passive Abilities.

FALCON

Sub-Category: Assasin

Max Health: 1134

Max Base Damage: 503

Charge Ability: Heavy Attack // Deals Heavy Damage to Enemy Pixelings // Max 756

Turns to Charge: 2

When to Use: Falcon is a great staple for team builds, especially because you can easily farm Falcon from levels that give it as an extra reward.

Falcon does a great deal of damage and because it’s charge move only needs two turns you can easily pump out a great deal of damage with Energize.

I personally prefer to put Strengthen on Falcon, since it does quite a bit of damage even without using its charge ability.

SLIPPY

Sub-Category: Saboteur

Max Health: 1441

Max Base Damage: 377

Charge Ability: Poison // Inflicts Poison (20% Damage per turn) // 3 Turns

When to Use: Slippy is great when it comes to battling bosses such as the Barrel King, although I won’t say that you see much use for Slippy in the higher levels of PewDiePie’s Pixelings.

Chances are you are mostly going to use Slippy in the early stages of this game and bench it as soon as you get better Ranged Pixelings.

TAD

Sub-Category: Support

Max Health: 1819

Max Base Damage: 354

Charge Ability: Strengthen Back // Raises the Attack of the Back Pixelings by 25% up to 100%

Turns to Charge: 3

Passive Ability: Shrouded // Receives 33% less damage from Ranged Pixelings

When to Use: Unless you don’t have a better Rare Ranged Pixeling… don’t use Tad.

I’d prefer a heavier damage-dealing Pixeling rather than Tad, especially because its stats just aren’t… well… impressive.

OZZY

Sub-Category: Saboteur

Max Health: 1588

Max Base Damage: 416

Charge Ability: Drain

Turns to Charge: 2

Passive Ability: Poison Burst // Upon defeat, inflicts a critical hit and Poison to its attacker (20% damage per turn)

When to Use: By far I find Ozzy to be the most versatile Pixeling.

Ozzy can be used in pretty much every PVE situation and can be extremely helpful when defeating bosses.

The only minor downfall to Ozzy is that he doesn’t do a great amount of damage in comparison to some other Pixelings.

MYTHIC

Mythic Pixelings can be upgraded to a Power Rank of 490.

The maximum level a Mythic Pixeling can be is Level 50 and the maximum rank a Rare can be is Rank 5.

Mythic Pixelings have two passive abilities.

GUSTO

Sub-Category: Assassin

Max Health: 1588

Max Base Damage: 416

Charge Ability: Heavy Attack // Deals about 2x Damage // Maximum 833 Damage

Turns to Charge: 3

Passive Ability #1: Shrouded // Receives 33% less damage from Ranged Pixelings

Passive Ability #2: Berserk // Deals 50% more damage when below 33% health

When to Use: Again, currently not useful.

Gusto is fun to play with and I would love to use it more often, but really there’s nothing really useful about Gusto because you can push out relatively similar damage with Pixelings with more useful abilities.

#ReworkGusto?

LULU

Sub-Category: Assassin

Max Health: 1280

Max Base Damage: 539

Charge Ability: Heavy Attack All // Deals Damage to all enemy Pixelings // Maximum 602 Damage (to each Pixeling)

Turns to Charge: 4

Passive Ability #1: Shield Breaker // Ignores and destroys Bubble Shields when attacking

Passive Ability #2: Vampire // Heals itself for 25% of the damage dealt to an enemy

When to Use: Everyone feels like Lulu is the most powerful Pixeling in the game, and while she is very powerful, there are ways to beat her.

I love Lulu for PVE, but she’s not always my top pick for PVP because everyone uses her.

Still, Lulu is a great Pixeling who you can use at any time, so make sure you check the corner of your chests before you incubate them.

NAZA

Sub-Category: Saboteur

Max Health: Unknown

Max Base Damage: Unknown

Charge Ability: Stun // Inflicts Stun

Turns to Charge: 2

Passive Ability #1: Spell Immunity // Immune to ALL spells

Passive Ability #2: Vampire // Heals itself 25% of the damage dealt to an enemy

When to Use: Currently Unavailable

GLITCHY

Sub-Category: Assassin

Max Health: Unknown

Max Base Damage: Unknown

Charge Ability: Heavy Attack Random // Deals about 2x Damage to a random enemy

Turns to Charge: 3

Passive Ability #1: Spell Immunity // Immune to ALL spells

Passive Ability #2: Shrouded // Receives 33% less damage from Ranged Pixelings

When to Use: Currently Unavailable

CONCLUSION

All-in-all, the best Ranged Pixelings at the current moment seem to be Lulu (Mythic), Ozzy (Rare), Falcon (Uncommon) and sometimes Slippy (Uncommon) in particular boss circumstances.

At the end of the day, the Pixeling that you choose to use will heavily depend on which Pixelings you receive from chests or whether you have the opportunity to grind out some of the lower level Pixelings.

While I would love to have a great Cloudia, there’s no way I’m going to have the time to fully grind it out.

*sigh* No sheep for me.

So, I’m curious, who are your favourite Ranged Pixelings? Which is your tried and true? Let me know in the comments below!
