It can be annoying to play a game that feels unbalanced, especially when you are playing against real players.
While Lulu can come in extra handy when you are trying to progress in PewDiePie’s Pixelings, she’s currently the most complained about Pixelings on all forms of social media in regards to PVP.
It’s understandable that people are upset, especially because all of Lulu’s abilities seem a bit overpowered, but I’m here to let you know that Lulu is absolutely not overpowered and she definitely has a few weak spots.
So let’s dive into everything you need to know about Lulu, her weaknesses and how you can guarantee yourself a win against her.
LULU’S ABILITIES
Lulu has Heavy Attack All, which attacks all Pixelings on the field. Heavy Attack All takes 4 turns to charge, which is the second-longest amount of time it takes for Pixelings to charge their abilities.
As a passive Lulu has Shield Breaker which both destroys and ignores bubble shields.
Because Lulu is a Mystic Pixeling she also has another passive, being Vampire, which allows Lulu to heal every time she damages an enemy Pixeling.
If Lulu has the chance to get her Heavy Attack All off Vampire will trigger on all three of the Pixelings that were damaged.
LULU’S WEAKNESSES
As much as Lulu is a heavy damager, she does have a fairly low amount of HP making her a moderately squishy Pixeling. If you look at Lulu’s stats you can easily see that she has less health than the average Uncommon Pixeling, which is a bit shocking.
I like to compare Lulu to the equivalent to Kai’Sa from League of Legends because she’s overly powerful, but if you use the right abilities against her she’s simple to conquer.
For example, Lulu is also one of the only Mythic Pixelings that does not take reduced damage from any other Pixelings and does not have any protection against Spells, so use this to your advantage.
Admittedly the scariest thing about Lulu is the fact that she does such heavy damage to multiple Pixelings, especially if she is fed spells such as Strengthen, which gives her a 25% attack boost (up to 100%).
Though when Lulu is fed Strengthen and/or Energize early on she becomes extremely powerful, there are a number of spells, abilities and Pixelings you can select that will counter this and virtually nullify all of her attacks.
SPELLS THAT WORK WELL AGAINST LULU
Dependant on how high of a level the opponent’s Lulu is it is very possible to kill her with 2 Scorching Blasts.
Scorching Blast can be one of the most useful spells you can take in your kit, especially for early game progression, so make sure to be taking it into all PVP matches.
Scorching Blast can also be used to last hit Lulu in clutch situations where she is about to attack you and heal herself.
Drain is also an amazing ability against Lulu, though I personally don’t take it on my kit these days because I’d rather take Strengthen.
My reason for selecting Strengthen over Drain is because Strengthen costs less mana and it makes sure my Pixelings outpower my enemy’s Pixelings so that when Lulu is dead, it’s a simple wipe feast.
The other reason I take Strengthen instead of Drain is that it is useful against any Pixeling.
Another option for a spell you can take is Stun. Stun can effectively paralyze an enemy Lulu for two turns, especially if you get it off at the beginning of her charge.
So, as you can see, there are definitely a few options of spells you can take to ensure that Lulu doesn’t hit you or damage you too much before you slay her!
PIXELINGS THAT COUNTER LULU
It can be difficult to recommend Pixelings because everyone is going to have their Pixelings powered up to different levels based on how much you play the game and how lucky you got with getting duplicates.
Though this is true, at the end of the day many Pixelings share common charge moves or passives that have similar effects.
My favourite Pixeling to counter Lulu is Ozzy.
Ozzy can use Drain after two turns, versus Edgar who needs 3 moves to charge his Drain.
If you do not have Ozzy or Edgar I would recommend taking in Falcon and using Energize on it so that it bursts down Lulu quickly,
I’m personally not a fan of Gusto and I think it’s actually the absolute worst Pixeling, however, because it takes reduced damage from Ranged Pixelings, it might come in handy, especially if you have it powered up.
The same can be said about Tad though again, I don’t find it as effective as using a Pixeling that has Drain on its kit.
CONCLUSION
Though Lulu can be annoying to defeat she is far from unstoppable.
Lulu has a low pool of HP, she can take all forms of damage and she takes forever to charge, making her defenceless against rigorous attacks.
So I’m curious, how do you combat Lulu? Do you find her OP? Let me know in the comments below!
