What does the “+50% extra rewards” apply to in Punball

Last Updated August 12, 2022 By Johnny Salib / FlamingGaymer Leave a Comment

Whenever I play any game I always try to figure out a way to maximize all of my rewards as there’s no downfall to having an overwhelming amount of resources, especially when resources are used to power up your Weapons or other Stats.

I’ve been playing Punball for a number of months now and while at first I was doing really well with my resources and had no complaints about the game, I’m quickly understanding why members of the community keep complaining about how this game is pay-to-win and how at later stages you’re going to feel forced to pay money.

While I’m still a fully F2P player, I cannot deny the enticement to spend a bit of money on Gems the next time Relic Weapons are around as I’m in the awkward phase of having a full set of Honour Gear and simply not enough Scrolls to level them up. Not only that, but the only upgrades that I can complete at the moment (due to my lack of resources) are the Talents, which at my level each cost 370k+ Coins, which feels very expensive for the small amount of improvement they provide. So, what is a boy supposed to do?

Well, luckily for players there are some small ways players can improve their Punball experience, especially when it comes to watching Ads. Though not every player is going to find watching Ads to be a positive experience, I’m someone who has been watching all the Ads for Punball since the very first day I started playing.

Now, as one could assume, not every Ad players will be able to watch will be for worth it rewards and it seems the one most players are confused about are the ads players will be offered after they complete a Stage, or fail a Stage in Punball.

WHAT IS THE 50% EXTRA REWARDS AD FOR?

Although some players may have been able to tell what this Ad was for upon seeing the small image in the corner of the image, many players are under the impression that any rewards they have collected during a Stage will be multiplied. Unfortunately, this is not true.

The reality of the 50% extra rewards ad is that it will only boost the number of Coins you generate for the round and even if you have two sets of the same Gear or collect any Amethyst, this will never be duplicated for players which is a bit of a shame, considering just how many of these resources a player will need.

Now even though Coins are typically the resource that players have the most of, every player is going to get into a situation where they can no longer afford upgrades as they will become too expensive. Players may notice the need for Coins first with Talents as these simply unlock as a player levels up by playing the game, however, other upgrades such as Pets and Gear will simply rely on RNG, meaning that a player will typically be waiting for the related resources to drop.

So, should you use the 50% Extra Rewards and is it worth it?

I would say yes, especially if you’re in the mid-to-late game. To break things down for you based on my current experience:

Talents cost 370k+ Coins

Gear costs 100k+ Coins

Pets cost 25k+ Coins

The Sacred Altar costs around 25k+ Coins

I tend to farm Stage 100 for all of my rewards and will get between 20k to 30k Coins, meaning that I can get between 30k to 45k Coins per run by watching an Ad. Given this significant increase, I can typically farm around 300k Coins a day, especially if I am able to play rounds between writing articles.

I would strongly recommend if players are not upsetti spaghetti about ads to watch Ads anytime they finish a Stage as even if you aren’t getting tens of thousands of Coins it will greatly cushion your grind later on.

For weeks I was sitting on a million Coins and that quickly disappeared as I levelled up.
