As a massive connoisseur of MMOs, I am someone who tries to min-max in many different ways, especially when it comes to getting the best Gear and equipment.
Thinking back on my years of playing and streaming Trove I remember spending hours trying to farm all of the Dragons which gave Magic Find, which is similar to Luck in other MMOs.
Though I’ve taken time away from MMOs that require a good amount of grinding, turning to MMOs like FFXIV, I can’t deny that I’m back to the grind with New World and don’t see myself stopping anytime soon.
Now, while I find New World to be a lot more casual of an MMO in comparison to other MMOs, I have gotten very obsessed with the late-game Mutations as I find the harder content thrilling and to be honest, some of the best content I’ve experienced in a while.
The greatest thing about New World, in my opinion, is the ease players will have between changing Weapons, Tasks and stats as not only are there less hoops players need to jump through in order to complete the various tasks.
As I’m a bit of an obsessive min-maxer, I’m someone who has been levelling up all of his Crafting, Refining, Trade Skills as well as maxing out all of my Weapons so I can deal the most damage in Mutations when my main Weapons aren’t the best options. Now, to my surprise, min-maxing doesn’t just end at your Gear. I initially thought it did as there is Gear for all of the Trades, Refining Jobs as well as ones that deal more damage to specific types of enemies.
So, what are the other things that raise your stats? Shockingly, Trophies. Trophies take a while to obtain and will require players to purchase a house in order to place them.
I keep forgetting to write about housing in New World and while I will shortly, this time I really promise, the most important thing to keep in mind is that the highest tier of house will allow you to place the most Trophies, being a maximum of 5.
But without getting to far ahead of ourselves, let’s get started by talking about what Trophies do as well as how to craft them all. This guide will go into a lot of depth, so just be ready to be overloaded with information.
HOW DO YOU CRAFT TROPHIES?
If players choose to craft Trophies instead of purchase them, they are going to be looking at levelling up their Furnishing Trade Skill.
In my opinion, as someone who has been grinding in order to be able to craft all of the Trophies, I can say that it’s not really worth getting your Furnishing up unless you are planning to sell items that are in this Trade Skill as the grind is much longer than any of the other Trade Skills.
It is also one of the least profitable Trades if you are not selling “the right items.” Spoiler alert, these items tend to be one-time crafts that consume an item, making it so a player cannot just keep crafting the same item over and over again essentially being why so many players simply sell the base item instead of levelling up the trade.
While players can craft hundreds of actual Furniture items in order to get their Furnishing up, most of these Furnitures will not sell, due to the inadequate search in the Trading Post, though do not let this discourage you if this is something that interests you.
Admittedly, players will also unlock instruments when they are levelling up their Furnishing skill, so if this is something that interests you, this would probably be the biggest perk to crafting your own Trophies in the long run.
WHAT ARE ALL OF THE TROPHIES IN NEW WORLD?
There are a great variety of Trophies players can obtain while playing New World, including ones that are Event Exclusive Trophies.
Typically a Trophy will either provide players with Luck, the ability to raise Gear Score while Crafting or even extra damage against particular mobs.
While a casual player will typically think that Trophies are a waste of time or not that important, I’m here to tell you that it’s quite the opposite. Trophies can significantly reduce the amount of time you spend farming in the game and even if you are completing lower-level content you can greatly benefit from having them due to the massive amount of damage increase they can provide you.
Now, I would recommend waiting until you are level 60 to get your Trophies as you will have a good amount of Gold to spend on outright purchasing the Trophies or you may have your side Trades up high enough to actually craft them yourself.
The Trophies players will be able to craft and access include:
DAMAGE ORIENTED TROPHIES
Ancients Combat Trophy, which increases damage toward Ancients.
Angry Earth Combat Trophy, which increases damage toward Angry Earth.
Corrupted Combat Trophy, which increases damage towards Corrupted.
Lost Combat Trophy, which increases damage towards Lost.
Wildlife Combat Trophy, which increases damage towards Wildlife/Animals.
CRAFTING ORIENTED TROPHIES
Arcana Crafting Trophy, which increases the Gear Score of Weapons crafted in Arcana.
Armoring Crafting Trophy, which raises the Gear Score of Armour crafted.
Cooking Crafting Trophy, which raises the yield of items cooked.
Engineering Crafting Trophy, which raises the Gear Score of tools and Weapons crafted in Engineering.
Weaponsmithing Crafting Trophy, which raises the Gear Score of Weapons when crafting in Weaponsmithing.
GATHERING ORIENTED TROPHIES
Fishing Gathering Trophy, which increases a player’s luck while Fishing.
Harvesting Gathering Trophy, which increases a player’s luck while Harvesting plants.
Logging Gathering Trophy, which increases a player’s luck while Logging.
Loot Luck Trophy, which increases a player’s luck while opening Chests anywhere in the world, including Dungeons.
Mining Gathering Trophy, which increases a player’s luck while Mining.
Skinning Gathering Trophy, which increases a player’s luck while Skinning.
WHAT ARE THE CRAFTING RECIPES FOR EACH TROPHY AND THEIR BENEFITS?
The following section will be focused on those of you who would like to craft the various Trophies or simply for players who want to know exactly what they are going to get out of the various Trophies.
In this section, I’ll also cover which Trophies I find are more useful as not every Trophy feels worth it at the end of the day.
Players should note that there are typically three stages for each of the Trophies being Minor, Basic and Major. Minor Trophies can be made at any point, however, the others will require players to locate specific resources in order to craft. These resources are tradeable, meaning that they can be purchased on the Trading Post.
Some of these resources are ridiculously common, though others feel like they take forever to get.
DAMAGE ORIENTED TROPHIES
The following are all of the Damage orientedTrophies in New World. If you are a casual player you will not need any, however, if you are hoping to run Mutations I would strongly recommend getting these ASAP.
While not the most necessary for Mutations under 3, players will want to get the most powerful Trophies for the higher ones as this will greatly reduce the amount of time it takes to clear the Dungeon in question.
I will also warn that more serious players will make sure that their teammates min-max by using only the best Weapons, Food and Trophies. Just be ready for this if you get serious about the game, as it may take you a while to get these resources.
Typically players will be rotating their Damage Oriented Trophies into their houses and not leaving them in at all times. I will typically teleport to each of my houses before I run Mutations to put in the Trophy that associates with the mobs located in that Mutation and trade them out when I’m done. As I’m someone who typically runs a few Mutations in a row, this feels very worth it, especially since I don’t run Mutations daily.
Though said Trophies are useful in Overworld content, I typically recommend people use other Trophies and save these specifically for Mutations.

The Pristine Bear Claw is actually very easy to get as it can be farmed from any Grizzly Bear.
CRAFTING ORIENTED TROPHIES
Crafted Oriented Trophies can be extremely useful when players are trying to make Gold from Crafting.
I honestly wouldn’t recommend Crafting for the average player as it will take you a lot of resources to actually level up and even when you become a server Crafter the amount of Gold you can make is very dependent on how many newer players there are on the server.
Since I’m on a Freshstart Server, our Trading Post tends to fluctuate a lot. Some weeks are very profitable for me, while others will have me making absolutely nothing.
Typically a Crafting oriented Trophy will provide you with higher Gear Scores on your crafted materials, however, there is one that will provide you with more resources once crafted.
MINOR ARCANA CRAFTING TROPHY
The Minor Arcana Crafting Trophy will provide players with the ability to raise the minimum Gear Score of any item crafted in the Arcana Station.

25 Wyrdwood Planks
20 Starmetal Ingots

1 Ancient Texts
Ancient Texts is the only odd resource that players may not know how to obtain and quite frankly players will have some trouble actually obtaining one as they can only be obtained at random by looting chests in areas over level 36.
Typically players report getting these in Elite Chest runs, but I have yet to get one.
In cases where a player wants to craft their own Trophy they can purchase this on the Trading Post and realistically it is cheaper than buying the fully crafted Trophy.
With that being said, the Major variant of these doesn’t tend to be that expensive on the Trading Post for some reason.
MAJOR ARCANA CRAFTING TROPHY
The Major Arcana Crafting Trophy is extremely useful as it will grant players with 5 Gearscore bonus to the minimum Gearscore of any Arcana weapons crafted.

Typically players report getting these in Elite Chest runs, but I have yet to get one.
In cases where a player wants to craft their own Trophy they can purchase this on the Trading Post and realistically it is cheaper than buying the fully crafted Trophy.
MINOR COOKING CRAFTING TROPHY
The Minor Cooking Crafting Trophy is a great set to have when you are making any meal, especially Trade Skills or Attribute Meals as it will raise the percentage chance that you will make double by a small amount, being 10%.
I’m glad this is the route New World decided to take as there is no Gear Score to food and admittedly raising the potency or length would feel a bit nonsensical as there is a Trophy already for that.
I would strongly recommend grabbing these Trophies if you’re someone who planning on cooking their meals instead of purchasing them from the Trading Post as realistically some ingredients are harder to come by if you’re not regularly farming the Territory they are available in.
I have to admit that I’m a pretty self-sufficient player who crafts and gathers everything for himself, especially due to the smaller player base on my fresh start server, but sometimes cooking feels like a hassle simply because I run out of spices regularly.
The Minor Cooking Trophy will need players to be level 75 in Furnishing as well as the following ingredients:
25 Lumber
25 Water Motes
20 Steel Ingots
1 Maple Stain
BASIC COOKING CRAFTING TROPHY
The Basic Cooking Crafting Trophy is a great set to have when making any meal, especially Trade Skills or Attribute Meals as it will raise the percentage chance that you will make 2 by a medium amount, being 20%.

GATHERING ORIENTED TROPHIES
Gathering Trophies are the most important Trophies in the game in my opinion and they’re typically the ones I leave in my house at all time.
At first, I was pretty anal about switching out my Trophies based on the content I was completing, though I quickly gave this up because I was merely too lazy. At this point I tend to have 4 Gathering oriented Trophies and one damage-dealing one based on the Mutations I’m grinding.
If I’m crafting, I will throw the Crafting Trophy in there.
MINOR FISHING GATHERING TROPHY
The Minor Fishing Gathering Trophy raises a player’s luck while Fishing by 2,500 Luck, meaning that players will have a 25% higher chance of catching a rare Fish.

MINOR LOOT LUCK TROPHY
The Minor Loot Luck Trophy is going to be one of the most important Trophies you get yourself and I strongly recommend getting it as soon as you can.
Although it won’t do a whole lot for the player, only providing 0.5% chance for a rare item from Chests and Monsters, it will help pad any other Luck Modifiers you have on Gear in order to greatly increase your chances.
Now, the Minor Loot Luck Trophy is most important as it is utilized to craft the higher tier Loot Luck Trophies and quite frankly it is very expensive to buy the fully crafted Trophy, so it might just be worth buying the main Artifact and crafting the rest of it.
Luckily, the Minor Loot Luck Trophy is relatively easy to gather for, so expect to have all the items relatively quickly.
Players will need to be level 100 in Furnishing in order to craft the Minor Loot Luck Trophy and will need the following ingredients:
25 Lumber
20 Steel Ingot
1 Maple Stain
1 Rabbit Foot
The only ingredient you may be unfamiliar with is the Rabbit Foot as it can be fairly rare to obtain. To get one, players will either need to obtain it from a Package of Specialized Furnishing Materials or from skinning Rabbits.
I’m very far in my skinning, being 10 levels above 200 and I have to admit I’ve only gotten 5 Rabbit Feet. Of course, not all of this time was spent skinning Rabbits in particular, however, I did spend a good amount of time specifically focusing on Rabbits and I kind of expected more.
BASIC LOOT LUCK TROPHY
The Basic Loot Luck Trophy is going to be one of the most important Trophies you get yourself and I strongly recommend getting it as soon as you can.
Although it won’t do a whole lot for the player, only providing 1% chance for a rare item from Chests and Monsters, it will help pad any other Luck Modifiers you have on Gear in order to greatly increase your chances.

The only ingredient you may be unfamiliar with is the Stacked Deck and it is tough to get. As is with the other resources, it can be found in level 36 and above areas inside of chests, however, since it is Legendary it rarely shows up.
This resource is extremely costly and I keep going back and forth if I want to outright purchase it or if I want to just wait a long time until I actually get it.

DO TROPHIES STACK?
Trophies do in fact stack, so players will want to grab three of each type of Trophy for their Houses. Realistically a single Trophy won’t do much for a player, however, there are some that are much more beneficial on their own than others.
Most players will swap out their Trophies based on the tasks they are completing at that moment, for example, I have traded my Combat Trophies for Fishing Trophies as I’m currently fishing as I’m writing this article.
