Whiteout Survival is a game that is popular Worldwide, which is pretty obvious when you first look at the World Chat.
Upon signing up for the game, I was instantly overwhelmed by the number of languages being spoken in World Chat and couldn’t comprehend how players were able to communicate so rapidly with each other in different languages.
In fact, I was the dumb player who informed his alliance members we would prefer if chat was in English and constantly switched back and forth between the game and Google Translate.
Embarrassingly enough, it probably took me 3 weeks to discover how exactly to use the in-game translation and although it is not as powerful as Google Translate it is a lot faster and makes communication much simpler.
HOW DO YOU TRANSLATE IN WHITEOUT SURVIVAL?
Translating chat is ridiculously easy in Whiteout Survival, all you have to do is click the “⇄” that is directly beside every single chat message.
At first, I was nervous to press this button as I thought that this button simply meant to forward or “Megaphone” a chat message, but I was so happy to see I was wrong.
When the “⇄” button is pressed, players will see the original text on top of the translated text, allowing them to copy the original text if the translation was incorrect or unintelligible.
It should be noted that abbreviations and terms are not translated, and I would strongly suggest you take a look at my post about those here. I will be regularly updating that post as I see more acronyms and terms being used.
