Thought Cannon Wand: A Thorough Guide | Bloons Adventure Time TD

It’s no secret that the most powerful weapon in all of Bloons Adventure Time TD is the Thought Cannon Wand.

Even if you spend a couple of days around the Bloons Adventure Time TD subreddit, you’ll see dozens of people sharing posts about finally getting this overpowered weapon.

The Thought Cannon wand is currently the only weapon that provides drops in Bloons Adventure Time TD, though the trade-off is that it is a weaker weapon than some of the other wands.

WHAT DOES THE THOUGHT CANNON WAND DO?

The Thought Cannon Wand has a chance to generate loot when the character using it destroys a MOAB-class bloon.

Loot drops are 100% guaranteed as long as the character holding the weapon does some damage to the MOAB-class bloon.

The only trinket with a similar passive is the Treasure Chest Keys, which can be equipped to any character.

According to the Bloons Fandom Wiki the following are the Thought Canon Wand’s Bounties:

50% – $100 to $200 cash + $10 per star.
45% – 5 to 20 lives + 1 per 2 stars.
2.75% – common wish orb.
1.5% – uncommon wish orb.
0.5% – rare wish orb.
0.2% – super rare wish orb.
0.05% – epic wish orb.

Although the Fandom Wiki doesn’t say it, I’m certain that the Thought Canon Wand sometimes drops chests that have Gems or Coins in them.

I’ve got a maximum of 2000 Coins and 10 Gems.

I do know that there is a limit of 30 Wish Orbs per level, so I don’t know if this is what allows the other in-game currencies to begin triggering.

I get between 2 to 3 epic wish orbs a week while playing this game moderately, though that really means nothing because it’s still RNG.

Loot dropped by the Thought Cannon Wand must be collected manually, or by using the Monkey Farmer.

You can collect loot by scrolling over it.

WHAT ARE THE THOUGHT CANNON WAND’S STATS?

The Thought Cannon wand increases Range by 12 +0.25 per star.

The Thought Cannon Wand also increases effect duration such as fire, bubblegum, ice, etc. by 30% plus an additional 1% per star level.

WHO SHOULD YOU EQUIPT THE THOUGHT CANON WAND TO?

The Thought Cannon Wand works most effectively on the Flame Princess, though I personally also put the wand on the Ice King during some matches.

The reason the Thought Cannon Wand works most effectively on the Flame Princess is because she doesn’t need any upgrades to be able to attack MOAB class bloons.

The Ice King, on the other hand, needs to be upgraded to Rank 7 before he can begin attacking MOABs.

At Rank 7 his move Big Freeze unlocks, which does damage towards MOAB class bloons.

Big Freeze is actually the reason I like using the Thought Cannon Wand, especially when you’re fully stacked on trinkets.

Characters with a larger range, such as the Super Monkey or Marceline will often destroy MOABs before they even reach the Flame Princess.

Because MOABs are destroyed before they reach the Flame Princess, I always upgrade the Ice King’s Big Freeze and optimize getting my loot.

DO TRINKETS AFFECT THE THOUGHT CANNON WAND?

No, trinkets will not affect the Thought Cannon Wand.

So if you have a laser or a Missile attached to one of your characters, this will not help proc the Thought Cannon Wand.

SHOULD YOU SPEND GEMS ON THE THOUGHT CANNON WAND?

The Thought Cannon Wand should always be a thoughtless buy, whether it’s for 300 Gems or 150.

Due to the fact that the Thought Canon Wand is the most powerful wand in the whole game, there isn’t really another weapon you’d want any more than it.

In reality, it will pay itself off by providing you countless wish orbs to shard so you can get better weapons.

CONCLUSION

Given how much loot the Thought Cannon Wand provides, it’s fairly clear why it is considered the best weapon in the game.

I have to say, I’m not a huge fan of its sub stats, but there’s no reason to complain since it singlehandedly is the only reason I’ve been able to upgrade all of my characters to Epic Loot.

I do have to say after I got the Thought Cannon Wand the focus of playing completely changed and became “How Can I use the Flame Princess as much as possible so I can just get better loot” and… well… it kind of made the game a bit more boring.

Within a week I was able to clear a whole new tier of maps and within a month I ended up beating the rest of the game.

So, be ready for a very, very steep win-rate as soon as you get this weapon.
