FFXIV Tribal Quest / Beast Tribe Mounts (+ How To Unlock)

Last Updated November 29, 2023 By Johnny Salib / FlamingGaymer Leave a Comment

It should be no secret by now that I’m a huge Tribal Quest/Beast Tribes fanatic, quickly grinding them out as soon as they are available to me.

While for me Beast Tribes are used as a way to level up side Jobs and focus on getting my Crafters up to max level, the reality is that I was only exposed to the Beast Tribes because I’ve been obsessed with collecting Mounts from the moment I purchased my first FFXIV sub.

Beast Tribes are one of the simplest tasks to complete in FFXIV, often taking players only a few minutes of their day, however, the unfortunate reality of Beast Tribes is that they cannot be completed in a speedy manner as players are both limited to the amount of Beast Tribe quests they can complete in a single day for both a particular Beast Tribe and for the Beast Tribes as a whole.

I’ve gone in-depth with the mechanics of Beast Tribes in the post linked above, so I’m not going to go too far in depth with how they function, but I will say that players can only complete 3 quests from each Beast Tribe up to 12 quests a day. Due to these restrictions, players are going to want to pick and choose what Beast Tribe they focus on and will either want to make the decision based on a Job they want to level up or on what Mount they really want the most. At the end of the day, it’s not going to matter which Beast Tribe you complete first or when you complete them as they are not connected (for the most part).

Players can choose to do only some of the Beast Tribes if they are only looking for particular Mounts and completing the Beast Tribes will not unlock anything that is necessary for high-level content as they mostly provide cosmetics.

So let’s dive into it, what are the Mounts available to players for completing Beast Tribes and how do players unlock them?

Note: If you have any questions about FFXIV that you want me to cover feel free to leave them in a comment below, you can also ask me while I am streaming on Twitch, YouTube or in our community discord.

CONCLUSION

While players will want to acquire all of the Beast Tribe Mounts the reality is that it is going to take some time before a player is able to accomplish this, especially if they are newer to the game.

Often a Beast Tribe will take weeks if not months to complete, especially when the rank required is high.

At the end of the day, especially if you’re late to the party, you’re going to want to pick and which Mount you want to unlock first as trying to progress through the Beast Tribes all together will slow a player down and let’s be honest… unless you’re a completionist, some of the Mounts are eh…

But speaking on eh Mounts, which are your favourite? Which Mounts do you already have and which do you like the most?
