When it comes to playing any game it’s always a good idea to stock up on the main currently and as you already know, the main currently in Bloons Tower Defense 6 is Monkey Money.
Monkey Money isn’t the hardest resource to collect in BTD6, most notably players will obtain it for every map they complete, though there are some ways players can speed up the process of collecting Monkey Money and some strategies players will want to follow when it comes to spending the Monkey Money they Obtain.
HOW DO YOU GET MONKEY MONEY IN BTD6?
There are 5 main ways players can collect Monkey Money quickly.
PURCHASING MONKEY MONEY IN THE SHOP
The most obvious way players can collect Monkey Money is by purchasing it in the in game shop.
As Monkey Money is obtainable in a number of free ways, I would advise against purchasing Monkey Money hastily, as the cheapest option comes at the high cost of $2.79 for 1,000 Monkey Money (may depend on location) and truthfully, by the time you have a foot in the door, Monkey Money will come pouring in.
The best deal for Monkey Money comes at the hefty cost of $69.99 providing players with 60,000 Monkey Money (may depend on location), though players may also see daily sales that provide them with better margins such as the one currently running for $16.99 for 16,000 Monkey Money.
These sales rotate daily and are accompanied by many other sales that include Insta Monkey Packs, Power Attack Packs, Double Cash Modes or even Knowledge Points.
I’m not going to knock you for buying yourself Monkey Money, especially if you’re in a pinch or really want to obtain all of the Heroes quickly, but I will reassure you that this guide will outline some of the fastest ways you can catch up to older players.
LOGGING IN DAILY
One of my favourite aspects to many online games is the freebies that they give you.
When it comes to Bloons Tower Defense 6, players will look forward to receiving a variety of free daily loot, some of which include Powers or Insta Monkeys, though in the matter of Monkey Money, players will receive between 50 to 200 Monkey Money upon logging in.
Though some rewards are better than others, players should make sure that they log in daily even if they don’t plan on playing much that day.
COMPLETING NEW TRACKS
When it comes to reaping the highest rewards from tracks that you complete, players should try to prioritize completing new tracks or at least tracks that players have completed that have alternate game modes, such as Primary Monkeys Only or Magic Monkeys only.
Players can increase the income they receive from tracks by purchasing the Mo’ Monkey Money Monkey Knowledge by 10%.
Players will receive the following amounts of Monkey Money per track

COMPLETING THE ODYSSEY MODE
As a newer addition to BTD6, players may not be aware of the income yield they can gain from Odyssey Mode, though to be honest a lot of the income will simply come from completing new maps using the Odyssey Mode as the initiating point.
What do I mean by that? Well, the Odyssey Mode itself doesn’t provide players with the most Monkey Money, however, given the fact that Odyssey Mode will throw players into a number of random maps that they may not have completed previously, players will find themselves raking in some serious dough.
Upon completing Odyssey Mode on Easy, players will receive 50 Monkey Money, Medium will provide players 125 Monkey Money and Hard will provide players with 200 Monkey Money.
I would strongly recommend completing Odyssey Mode if you’re a player who doesn’t have a whole lot of time as it will simply boost your income while still completing new maps.
COMPLETING RACE EVENTS
Although more difficult than the Odyssey Mode, in my opinion, players can rake a good amount of Monkey Money weekly from the Race Events, especially if they rank higher.
Race Events can provide players with the following amounts of Monkey Money for the following placements:
1ST PRIZE
1,000 Monkey Money
2ND PRIZE
750 Monkey Money
3RD PRIZE
500 Monkey Money

ACHIEVEMENTS
Although I wouldn’t technically recommend players focus soley on achievements, as they require quite a bit of gameplay from a player, players should take note that many achievements will provide them with a minimum of 100 Monkey Money.
Achievements are great though, as they can give you up to 1,000 Monkey Money, being a sweet deal and giving you a massve boost to your income.
I will cover all of the achievements (including hidden achievements) players can unlock soon! So be looking out for that post!
HOW SHOULD I SPEND MONKEY MONEY IN BTD6?
HEROES
When it comes to what you want to spend your money on first, I would strongly recommend choosing some really good Heroes.
I’ve outlined my top choices for BTD6 Heroes in this article, as Heroes are going to range in price and may take a bit of time to grind out.
The following are the prices for Heroes that can be purchased:
CAPTAIN CHURCHILL
2,500 Monkey Money
BENJAMIN
3,000 Monkey Money
EZILI
3,000 Monkey Money
PAT FUSTY
3,000 Monkey Money
ADORA
5,000 Monkey Money
ADMIRAL BRICKELL
5,000 Monkey Money
ETIENNE
5,000 Monkey Money
MONKEY KNOWLEDGE
In my opinion, Monkey Knowledge comes in a close second, although it’s really a tie between Heroes and Monkey Knowledge.
Luckily, players will not need to spend Monkey Money on lower tier Monkey Knowledge and since players will be gated by the the Monkey Knowledge Points, as the only free ways to acquire them are through Achievements or levelling up, players will be able to be able to buy a few strong heroes before they find themselves needing to choose between the two.
Monkey Knowledge drastically ranges in cost as the at tier 4 they will cost 250 Monkey Money, tier 5 will cost 500 Monkey Money and tier 6 will cost 1,000 Monkey Money.
I would strongly recommend looking through all the different types of Monkey Knowledge as some will make the game much easier and as mentioned the Mo’ Monkey Money Monkey Knowledge boosts all earned Monkey Money by 10%.
POWERS
Again, similar to my Heroes guide, I have also written a guide to all of the Powers players can obtain in BTD6 and when players may want to use them.
Powers are reasonably priced, coming in as low as 20 Monkey Money, though admittedly, some are expensive coming in at 200 Monkey Money.
Powers have a one time use, so if players are going to choose to purchase one, they will have to take some time to make the proper choice.
The following are all the prices for Powers in BTD6.
SUPER MONKEY STORM
100 Monkey Money
MONKEY BOOST
100 Monkey Money
THRIVE
70 Monkey Money
TIME STOP
50 Monkey Money
CASH DROP
200 Monkey Money
BANANA FARMER
50 Monkey Money
PONTOON
50 Monkey Money
ROAD SPIKES
50 Monkey Money
GLUE TRAP
50 Monkey Money
MOAB MINE
50 Monkey Money
CAMO TRAP
50 Monkey Money
PORTABLE LAKE
50 Monkey Money
TECH BOT
50 Monkey Money
ENERGIZING TOTEM
70 Monkey Money for the first Energizing Totem and 20 Monkey Money to recharge it
HERO SKINS
When players are done with purchasing all of the Heroes they want and have stocked up on all of the Powers they need, they can begin purchasing skins for their Heroes.
All skins cost 2,500 Monkey Money and while I have to admit that many of the skins seem uninspired, there are a number of them that have a soft spot in my heart, such as Obyn Greenfoot’s Ocean Guardian Skin.
CONTINUE GAME
One of the most useful uses for Monkey Money is the ability to continue after failing a round by letting bloons leak.
Continues will range in price, starting at 100 Monkey Money, but players may be required to fork over 500 Monkey Money if they are further into a round.
Upon using a continue, players will receive the maximum amount of lives they started with in on a map (ie. 200 lives for Easy, 150 lives for Medium, 100 lives for Hard and 1 life for Impoppable)
