Bank of Archers | Orcs Must Die 3 [OMD3]

Last Updated August 24, 2021 By Johnny Salib / FlamingGaymer Leave a Comment

When it comes to playing Orcs Must Die 3, players are going to be introduced to a new way of playing the game, being War Scenarios.

War Scenarios act very differently than regular maps, being that there are much more enemies that players will have to defeat and players will also have access to War Scenario exclusive traps, which tend to be more powerful or have different features to them.

Upon unlocking the Bank of Archers, I thought I wasn’t really going to use them because I was worried that they would just end up dead and thus prove to be useless, though this was truly not the case as the reality is that many War Scenarios have places for players to place these traps where they won’t get attacked by mobs.

The Bank of Archers is quite strong and will be unlocked after players complete Cliffside.

BANK OF ARCHERS STATS

The Bank of Archers will only be placable on the outdoor elements of a War Scenario Map, meaning that players will have to locate an ideal location for them to be placed, often being on a higher tier of the outdoor map.

As the Bank of Archers has a 70 square range, the Bank of Archers is fairly ideal to place closer to buildings or high up on buildings where mobs are not bound to go.

While expensive, costing 2750 Coins to place, the Bank of Archers is a very strong tower to place as it will deal 100 damage per each arrow shot.

Each Archer will volley two arrows at a time at enemies.

The Bank of Archers is fairly large, coming in at 6×3 squares, essentially being 3 “regular sized” squares by 1.5 square.

Banks of Archers deal physical damage as a base, though they can be upgraded to deal extra damage.

BANK OF ARCHERS UPGRADES

Unlike standard traps, the Bank Of Archers only has one upgrade path that players will be able to choose.

Similar to standard traps players will have the “Unique Upgrades” which require players to deal 5,000 damage using the Bank of Archers in order to unlock.

The two different upgrade paths players will be able to choose are the following.

The first upgrade path will provide players with Fire Damage and will cost 8 Skulls. I personally do not choose to use this as my upgrade path due to the high amount of Mobs that are resistant to Fire in War Scenarios.

The second upgrade path will provide players with an Additional Volley of Arrows from the Bank of Archers which will cost 8 Skulls.

I personally choose to always use the second one due to the insane amount of damage players will get from the Bank of Archers.

IS THE BANK OF ARCHERS GOOD?

I strongly recommend using the Bank of Archers in most of your War Scenarios as they deal a great deal of damage, though the reality is that they are not going to be the absolute best Trap overall.

It is very strong and will help deal with a lot of mobs before they begin breaking down gates and quite frankly the AoE damage it deals especially with the extra volleys is immaculate when used in tandem with other traps.
