One of my favourite things to do in video games is achievement hunt, especially if I’ve thoroughly don’t want to stop playing a game because it was so good and realistically We Happy Few was one of those games for me.
I played We Happy Few on Twitch for a number of months, attempting to complete all of the quests that were available to me and even after wrapping up this chapter of streaming, I didn’t have enough from We Happy Few and had to continue the journey on my own in order to get a full 100% on steam.
One of the missions that I struggled with was the “You Do Know Jack” achievement as I wasn’t aware how exactly a player was supposed to “collect” episodes of Uncle Jacks shows as there is no real trigger or prompt for players to activate in order to gain this achievement, but instead players will simply need to head to a TV or radio during certain hours of the day in order to listen to Uncle Jacks stories.
As players collect an episode of Uncle Jack’s story they will see an overlay saying which episode they have collected in order to keep track of what the remainder of stories they have to collect are.
Players can also head to their theatre in the main menu in order to keep track of all the shows they have collected.
Unlike many other collectable achievements in We Happy Few and similar video games, the stories Uncle Jack tells are not tied to specific locations, but are tied to particular times of days and character’s storylines, making this a more daunting achievement to obtain.
Fear not though, a player can spend as much time as they would like in We Happy Few and are actually rewarded by the achievement “Don’t You Have Somewhere Else to Be” for spending a prolonged amount of time in the game.
The following is everything you need to know about the “You Do Know Jack” achievement, what characters to unlock them with and what times they will be playing for players to collect.
TIMES SPECIFIC UNCLE JACK’S SHOW SEGMENTS PLAY
Each of Uncle Jack’s shows play at a particular time. There are 9 types of segments that players can gain access to, each having one time frame that they can appear in, though there is one segment that appears in multiple time frames and many segments that share a time frame.
Players will want to regularly check in on their theatre to ensure that they are not wasting time rewatching old segments when they have already collected them all.
