As most people know, I’m a really invested builder when it comes to games, whether or not I’m playing a Survival game.
I built a good portion of my Twitch Community by playing games like the Sims 4 and Don’t Starve Together. While a lot of my focus was on Gameplay, I have to say that I always got sucked into building and basing.
There’s something extremely calming about building in video games and even though I don’t have dreams of being an architect or interior designer, I really enjoy spending time decompressing and either making builds look amazing, memey or just trying to figure out ways of making bases extremely fluid for easy gameplay.
Although I haven’t done the most building in V Rising in comparison to other games that have building, I do have to say that I really enjoy it building in V Rising and am in fact happy that I bought the DLC to really get to customize everything.
Although building isn’t a primary part of V Rising, I am happy to see that there are some benefits to building proper rooms in V Rising, though a lot of it is about walling in rooms and choosing the proper flooring.
Realistically, I expected players to be able to build one giant room for their Castle, but this is really shooting yourself in the foot in the long run as having multiple rooms that are specific to each type of Crafting Station as players will both save time and resources in the long-run.
The following guide will take you through everything you need to know about the different Rooms and Flooring in V Rising, including how to get them, what they are called, how many resources they take to craft as well as the perks they give each of the crafting stations.
HOW DO YOU SET UP ROOMS?
In order to set up a Room players will need to place Walls with at least one arch on them and then lay down flooring. Players do not need an actual door on their arch in order to to make a room, meaning that players can choose to only have doors on the outside of their castle and leave the internal more “open concept.”
Players will, however, need have these arch pieces to get rooms to classify as separate spaces, further differentiating by the different Flooring.
If a room is successfully built the room will gain a roof, granting immunity from the Sun. Players must make sure that if they remove an internal wall in their Castle they replace it with either an Arch or they will lose the benefits of the room type.
A room can only hold a single quality, even though multiple types of floors can be placed, so you won’t be able to make any large areas with different floorings for boosts.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF FLOORING AND HOW DO YOU UNLOCK THEM?
Although players will have a few types of Flooring available to them in the early game, the reality is that players will have to grind quite a bit in order to unlock all of the Flooring that they need.
The unfortunate reality is that obtaining the different types of Flooring will take time as it’s fairly random which players will get first and has nothing to do with which Crafting Stations you have first.
The following is all you need to know about the various Floorings as well as how to unlock them and the utility they provide your different structures.
