How to Get Crimson Agate on Island | Genshin Impact

Last Updated May 11, 2021 By Johnny Salib / FlamingGaymer Leave a Comment

When it comes to advancing your Frostbearing Tree it’s going to be a bit of a struggle. Not only will players be up for never ending wandering around their world in order to locate the Crimson Agate in the first place, there are going to be a number of Crimson Agate that require players to locate pieces of Scarlet Quartz in order to solve puzzles or melt through the various pieces of Ice in order to actually get them.

Crimson Agate are going to be a very important resource for players to grind out in order to continually upgrade their Frostbearing Tree as the Frostbearing Tree not only provides players with a healthy amount of Mora, but will provide players with new crafting materials, new weapon recipes or even the ever useful Fates for players to complete some wishes.

While many pieces of Crimson Agate are straight forward and require players to kill a variety of mobs or simply solve some puzzles, the one that really perplexed me was located on a small island on the far North East of Dragonspine.

The reality is that while the location of the Crimson Agate was very easy to find, due to my obsession with melting large pieces of ice with Scarlet Quartz, I spent hours being bamboozled by a piece of Scarlet Quartz near the Island on the lower level of this area.

Players may be quick to locate the same piece of Scarlet Quartz near the Island which can trick players into believing that they are able to destroy the Scarlet Quartz and either swim across to the island or freeze their way across, the reality is that this method is way too slow and the Scarlet Quartz’s effect will expire before players actually reach the island.

Players may also want to use an Archer to melt the ice from afar, but another reality is that this area is simply too far for players to hit the piece of ice, essentially requiring players to locate another piece of Scarlet Quartz to melt the ice.

So where is the piece of Scarlet Quartz and how can we set the Crimson Agate free the chest that has the piece of Crimson Agate?

HOW TO GET CRIMSON AGATE ON ISLAND OF DRAGONSPINE

The truth is that players are going to have to do a bit of investigation when it comes to locating the Scarlet Quartz that will be in an ideal location to melt the ice that encompasses the Crimson Agate.

I would strongly recommend teleporting to the Dadaupa Gorge waypoint and heading south until you find a lip that you can drop on.

The Scarlet Quartz is marked above and should be fairly easy for player to locate once they are made aware of it’s location, however, I can’t say that the same can be said for actually melting the Ice.

Players will have to get onto an Archer character such as Venti, Fischl or Amber and will have to aim at the ice from afar.

Players will need to aim a bit higher than the piece of Ice in order to melt it, though I will be honest this piece of Crimson Agate took me a number of tries until I was actually successful in melting the piece of Ice.

Players also have the option of using a Melee Character when it comes to melting the ice as long as they fly to the island, though this method is a bit more risky as if players miss they will have to teleport back to the waypoint in order to redo this process and melt the ice.

I would strongly recommend trying to use an archer a few times before you actually start using a melee character simply because there’s nothing worse than wasting time having to keep getting the piece of Scarlet Quartz to melt the ice.
