How To Beat Glitchy | Glitch in the Matrix – Mission 14 | PewDiePie’s Pixelings

Last Updated January 4, 2021 By Johnny Salib / FlamingGaymer Leave a Comment

While Glitchy is only a mini-boss in PewDiePie’s Pixelings it seems like a lot of people have difficulty trying to complete the level, Glitch in the Matrix.

Glitchy is a bit of a scary boss, being that it’s a Ranged Pixeling that does heavy solo and AOE damage.

This is unlike Falcon, who was a boss that did heavy damage, though it didn’t really have ways of sabotaging all three of your Pixelings, especially not all at once.

No matter what level your Pixelings are it’s going to be very important that you get used to switching your Pixelings around to optimize your damage and burst down the boss before it tears you a new one.

This following guide will take you through:

Boss Abilities & Battle Phases

Recommended Skills & Abilities

Recommended Pixelings to Use in Battle

BOSS ABILITIES AND BATTLE PHASES

Glitchy is a currently unobtainable Mythic Pixeling with the following abilities:

Charge Ability // Heavy Attack Random / Deals 218 Damage to a random enemy

Passive Ability #1 // Spell Immunity / Immune to ALL spells

Passive Ability #2 // Shrouded / Receives 33% less damage from Ranged Pixelings

Joined with Glitchy are two Floss Pixelings.

Floss is an Uncommon Pixeling that can Heal itself as it’s charge ability.

The hope for this battle is that you burst down Glitchy as fast as possible, making it extremely easy to kill the leftover Floss Pixelings.

I would make sure to take Ozzy on to your team, if you have it, and use Energize to cause it to prevent Glitchy from doing it’s AOE attack.

The following is the best location for pixelings:

RANGED PIXELING

MELEE PIXELING

RANGED/TROLL PIXELING

Each time it is time for a Ranged Pixeling to attack, make sure that you drag them center.

If you allow this battle to go on long enough for Glitchy to get its second charge move off, it will do a large AOE attack that commonly causes low-level players to wipe.

*Note: Glitchy summons Poison Sting every few moves on one of your Pixelings, this will do damage over time, so be ready to switch out your Pixelings to avoid excess damage.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS & ABILITIES

Skills and abilities in this boss battle are going to be completely subjective as which skill you use will depend on playstyle and personal preference.

It is important to remember that Glitchy doesn’t take any spell damage so abilities such as Lightning, Scorching Blast, or Flaming Bolt.

Since Glitchy doesn’t take any spell damage, I recommend bringing in more defensive spells like Healing Touch or Bubble Shield.

Alternatively, you can bring in Strengthen or Energize as they can give you a nice boost to burst down Glitchy. You can burst down Glitchy fairly nicely with Falcon and Energize if Falcon is ranked up high enough.

RECOMMENDED PIXELINGS TO TAKE INTO BATTLE

At this part of the game, you should have access to a variety of Pixelings, however, what’s most are the Pixeling types you take into battle and their level.

It is recommended that you take in two Melee Pixelings and three Ranged Pixelings.

You can also choose to take in two Melee Pixelings and two Ranged Pixelings and one Troll Pixeling.

I, personally, did not have access to a good Troll Pixeling when first playing this level, so it wasn’t a good idea for met to stray away from using Ranged Pixelings.

The following are the Pixelings I used and why I used them:

SLIPPY (UNCOMMON)

Charge Ability | Poison | Inflicts Poison (20% Damage every turn)

Turns to Charge: 3

Slippy is going to come in really handy when it comes to defeating the side Floss Pixelings.

I would bring Slippy into the center for the first two attacks and allow Slippy to attack a Floss for its charge attack.

This will make sure that one of the Floss Pixelings gets 20% damage taken from them every turn, making them less of a problem to deal with.

If you are having difficulty getting Slippy’s charge ability off think about taking Energize into this battle, but I would save it for a different Pixeling.

FALCON (UNCOMMON)

Charge Ability // Heavy Attack / Deals Massive Damage

Turns to Charge: 2

Falcon is perfect for burst damage and dependent on what level you have it powered up to you may be able to burst down Glitchy within a few moves.

Falcon’s priority should never be the Floss Pixelings in this battle and Falcon should be used to its full potential to get rid of the biggest threat on the field.

OZZY (RARE)

Charge Ability // Drain / Remove 2 Charges

Passive Ability // Poison Burst / Upon defeat inflicts a critical hit and Poison to its attacker

Ozzy is a very powerful Pixeling, especially because it can drain Glitchy from being able to use its massive attack or AOE attack.

I wouldn’t say that Ozzy is a must, but it does make this level a lot easier with it on your team.

TUSKI (UNCOMMON)

Charge Ability // Heal Self / Gives Health to itself

Turns to Charge: 2

Tuski should be your main tank at this level unless you have Jennifer who is much better.

SPONSY (RARE)

Charge Ability // Heal Lowest / Gives Health to the ally with the lowest health

Passive Ability // Frenzy / Has 50% chance to gain 1 Charge point every time it receives damage

Let Sponsy be your backup tank just in case Tuski dies, however, only one tank should be on the field at a time in this battle.
