How to Get Coins & What to Spend Coins On | PewDiePie’s Pixelings

Last Updated January 4, 2021 By Johnny Salib / FlamingGaymer Leave a Comment

Coins can be a bit difficult to farm in PewDiePie’s Pixelings if you don’t know what the best way to farm them is.

Arguably, coins are one of the most important currencies in PewDiePie’s Pixelings because they are required to Rank Up your Pixelings, but this isn’t the only way coins can be spent.

It’s important that you do not waste your coins on the wrong purchases, especially if you’re not someone who has the time to grind out the resource on a regular basis.

The following guide will take you through the different ways to get coins, the best ways to get them, how you can guarantee you always receive the most coins and how to spend them.

HOW DO YOU GET COINS IN PEWDIEPIE’S PIXELINGS

Coins are rewarded for each battle that is completed.

Though the amount of coins you receive is fairly minimal, sitting between 20 coins – 30 coins in the early game, some main story levels will contain coins as extra rewards.

The base amount of coins you can receive from extra rewards is 500 coins, though each level of difficult 25 coins will be added to the base amount.

I will cover the exact amounts further into this post though.

There are some cases where extra rewards will not provide 500+ coins, such as when you first complete a level. Always remember to read how many coins the extra rewards will give you to maximize your coin yield.

What do I mean by maximizing your coin yield? Well, you can get double the amount of coins as a reward by watching an ad located in the home tab.

Simply click on the word boost and for the next 30-minutes, you will get double the amount any coins you receive from completing levels.

Note that this boost does not work on opening chests, however, it does work on the extra rewards, so you can easily rake in 1000 coins per level.

The boost can be reapplied every 30-minutes by watching another ad.

I highly recommend completing as many coin extra rewards you can do once you’ve completed all of the XP levels. This will help give you a cushion of coins but will make sure that you get through the game as quickly as possible.

Always complete higher-level content before completing the lower level content, unless you are trying to grind out a specific extra reward.

Some extra rewards are much more valuable than others.

Coins can also be earned by playing PVP if you do not have enough energy to complete any main story quests, but PVP will not provide you with the steadiest flow of coins.

You can, however, get around 300 Coins or so if you get flawless in a PVP match.

If a player is a higher player level than you, you will also receive extra coins for playing the round.

WHAT TO SPEND COINS ON

At first, I thought it was a good idea to spend coins on high-tier Pixelings in the marketplace, but given the number of chests you receive in a day, it shouldn’t be that hard to upgrade your Pixelings.

I would only buy a high-level Pixeling from the market place if you only need one or if you are given a daily quest that requires you to purchase a Pixeling.

Instead, I would save my coins to power up my Pixelings when I have enough copies of them.

While lower-tier Pixelings don’t cost too many coins to upgrade, Mythic ones can cost upward of 12,500+ within the second upgrade.

So, if you’re someone who is having a lot of luck opening up chests with Mythics, start saving your coins!

HOW MANY COINS DO YOU GET PER LEVEL

The following is the list of how many coins you get per main story quest in each level. I will be updating as I go through the main storyline.

BroTown – Easy

Guaranteed: 20 Coins

Extra Reward: 500 Coins

BroTown – Medium

Guaranteed: 30 Coins

Extra Reward: 550 Coins

Floatopia – Easy

Guaranteed: 20 Coins

Extra Reward: 525 Coins

Floatopia – Medium

Guaranteed: 20 Coins

Extra Reward: 600 Coins

CONCLUSION

Although coins can be farmed in a variety of ways, the yield isn’t usually that high.

If you want to guarantee that you always have a good amount of coins, I recommend making sure that you complete as many main story quests that have coins as an extra reward.

Always make sure that you are using a boost, especially if you are farming coins from extra rewards.

Farming coins without using a boost is a very large loss in resources, so try to avoid this as much as possible.

So I’m curious, are you finding it difficult to farm coin? What Pixeling are you trying to max out? Let me know in the comments below!
