Rocky Rollin’ Road Missions & Capsules | Kirby And the Forgotten Land

Last Updated March 26, 2022 By Johnny Salib / FlamingGaymer Leave a Comment

As many of my viewers on Twitch know, I can’t get enough of Kirby, choosing to play a few of the main titles from the series on Twitch and being someone who legitimately bought a Kirby cat bed just because I thought it was adorable.

Quite frankly, Kirby is one only franchises that I would buy all the games for, even knowing full-well that I’m going to be upset with how short they are in comparison to other Nintendo main titles.

With the latest hype of Kirby and the Forgotten Dreamland, I was ecstatic to start playing and even broke my rule of never playing Demos to play and let me tell you it’s very worth it to play.

Kirby and the Forgotten Dreamland is one of the most unique Kirby games I have ever seen, not only introducing new abilities for the player to utilize, but also adding Missions that a player must complete in order to collect extra Waddle Dees, which unlock different shops in the game.

Though typically  I find that Kirby games are quite straight forward in comparison to other Nintendo games, this isn’t the most true with Kirby Forgotten Dreamland as players will be met with a variety of Missions that are hidden upon entering a map.

While many of these Missions will provide players with a single Waddle Dee, there are a number of them that will provide players with a maximum of 4 Waddle Dees.

The following guide will take you through everything you need to know when locating the Waddle Dees in Rocky Rollin’ Road which is the third map players can access in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Players can also use this guide to find the multiple Capsules available to them:

CLEAR STAGE

As is with all other levels in Kirby and the Forgotten Lands, players will be able to acquire themselves 3 Waddle Dees simply for completing the the level. There is no time constraint for players or any worry about how many missions they complete.

Players will want to make sure that they do not only rely on these Waddle Dees as collecting other Waddle Dees from missions will greatly increase the speed which players will be able to access new abilities.

SAVE THE HIDDEN WADDLE DEES

While a good portion of the Waddle Dees in this map are fairly straight forward and easy to locate, there are a few that require a bit more thought before players can get them.

ROCKY ROLLIN’ ROAD WADDLE DEE #1

The first Waddle Dee should not be missed as players will very blatantly receive a prompt that highlights how they can acquire it.

In short, after players make their way past the falling rocks they will see another enemy which provides the Ranger ability. Whether or not the player eats this mob they will receive a tool-tip that lets them know that they can hold down their attack button in order to aim with the Ranger ability.

This tool tip will also let players know that they can destroy targets using the Ranger ability.

ROCKY ROLLIN’ ROAD WADDLE DEE #2

After players make it past the ramp with the three falling rocks they will locate another mob with the Ranger ability and will see a target floating above them. Shoot this target in order to unlock a door with a single star.

Players will make to make their way up the ladder in order to begin a target game.

Destroy all 6 targets to receive your reward of a Waddle Dee.

ROCKY ROLLIN’ ROAD WADDLE DEE #3

After players are chased by the massive rock they will quickly need to dodge obstacles in order to make it to a blue button with a star in it on time.

If players allow the rock to make it before they press this button before the rock smashes it.

ROCKY ROLLIN’ ROAD WADDLE DEE #4

When players have obtained the care Mouthful Mode they must drive around the the ramps, making a jump to crash into the building.

Inside this building is the final Waddle Dee.

FIND THE SIDE ROAD WHILE GOING UPHILL

When players are on the ramp that drops 3 rocks in a random fashion players can head to the left, following the coins in order to locate a white orb.

While not necessary, heading on top of the white orb will show the path to a hidden area. If players want to skip this, they can and instead will simply need to head to the right hand side where there is a flower near the building with the pipes as there is a path to the right of there.

EAT SNACKS OFF 3 TREE STUMPS

Players are going to have to keep their eyes peeled when it comes to locating the 3 Snacks on Tree Stumps as they come and go very quickly.

While two Snacks are out in the open, one is hidden, leading even me (who found it in the first run) to completely miss it in the second run! Get ready for the introduction of trickier mechanics.

SNACK #1

In the first area that players enter they will be approached by an enemy that provides them with the ability Ranger.

Shortly behind this mob players will see a piece of bread to the left on a stump. Grab it, even if you have full health.

SNACK #2

Not much further than Snack one is Snack two, being just up the ladder on the left hand side.

This Snack is a bunch of bananas. Again, take these even if you are full on health.

SNACK #3

The third Snack is the trickiest Snack to locate and quite frankly, while I found it on my first run, in the second run I didn’t see the sparkly area as it does not spawn unless you are close enough to the rock it sits on.

While understandable why the developers made it so this Snack was a bit sneakier than the others, my jaw dropped after completing this map and realizing that I didn’t remember to find the third snack.

Don’t be me. Do not be me.

DRIVE WITHOUT FALLING OFF THE EDGE

After players use the Mouthful mode to become a car they will have to safely navigate around the cliff. Doing so without falling will land them the Drive Without Falling off the Edge Mission.

Players will have to reach the final area of the map to obtain this mission

CAPSULE LOCATIONS

CAPSULE #1

After players locate the side road they can climb the ladder to find a BBQ. Use your Mouthful Mode to take the lid off by rapidly moving your control stick.

CAPSULE #2

The final Capsule is hidden inside of the metal boxes at the end of the map. Use the car to destroy all of these before finishing the level
