Pearl of Wisdom | Trove Guide

Last Updated March 8, 2021 By Johnny Salib / FlamingGaymer Leave a Comment

It can be confusing when players collect a new resource that they are not familiar with.

While Pearls of Wisdom have been in the game for as long as I’ve been playing, the reality is that they are a bit of a misunderstood resource unless players already have access to the work benches they can use in order to actually apply them.

Once obtainable in the Store, Shadow Caches and the Shadowy Treasure Isles Trader, the Pearl of Wisdom are now found less frequently, requiring players to grind for them instead of being able to quickly purchase them.

Realistically if players want to do quick grinding for Pearls of Wisdom they should head to easy content in order to shred through mobs quickly in order to proc the RNG.

HOW DO YOU GET PEARLS OF WISDOM?

Players can currently collect Pearls of Wisdom by killing enemies or uncommonly from Chaos Chests or Pinatas.

Players can also obtain them uncommonly in Lesser Geodian Topside Caches as well as Greater Geodian Topside Caches.

Unfortunately players will have to rely on the RNG of Trove in order to collect Pearls of Wisdom, however, they are fairly cheap on the Market Board.

Currently as I am writing this article the Market Board has them listed for about 100 per pearl.

If players want to raise their chances of obtaining Pearls of Wisdom they can farm their dailies in order to obtain Pinatas.

Players should ensure that they only throw Pinatas where there are 8 players or more around as this will maximize the rewards they receive as Pinatas drop more loot per person available up to a maximum of 8 people.

If players are in Uber-8, Uber-9 or Uber-10 Geode Topside they should try to regularly farm 5 star dungeons, though realistically players will want other loot from their Geodian Topside Caches, though getting a Pearl of Wisdom is nothing to scoff at due to the immense power they can provide a player.

Players can also get Pearls of Wisdom from breaking down Stellar gear or Crystal Gear that has Pearls of Wisdom on them. Players will find a number of Pearled up Gear simply by collecting loot dropped in dungeons.

WHAT DO PEARLS OF WISDOM DO?

Pearls of Wisdom can be used in the Enhanced Forge to initially unlock an extra stat on Gear.

Depending on the type of Gear players have, players will either be able to obtain 4 or 5 stats in total.

If a piece of Gear already has the maximum number of stats applied to it, using a Pearl of Wisdom on the piece of gear will instead provide the player with a 10% stat boost on a random stat.

Players can place a maximum of 2 Pearls of Wisdom for each stat, essentially being able to buff a piece of Gear 8 to 10 times.

In many cases players will want to start off by using Pearls of Wisdom on their Gear before using the Forge to upgrade the tiers of their Gear as Pearls of Wisdom are much cheaper than using the resources required to properly upgrade their items.

Players will always want to make sure that their best Gear is boosted with Pearls of Wisdom as the 20% stat increases for each stat will be quite substantial in the long run.
