Coronacht / Heart-Seeking Bow | Hades Guide

Last Updated December 8, 2021 By Johnny Salib / FlamingGaymer Leave a Comment

While as a gamer my preference of Weapon is usually a ranged Weapon, the reality for Hades is the fact that I’m not a huge fan of the ranged Weapons, especially the Coronacht, more commonly known as the Heart-Seeking Bow.

While admittedly, the Heart-Seeking Bow is a very powerful Weapon, the reality is that players will have to stand still quite a bit in order to deal the most damage.

I’ll be honest, the thing that I enjoy the most about the Heart-Seeking Bow is it’s Special and I tend to rely on it’s damage too much even though it’s really low and players should use the charged attack for it’s bigger burst.

The Heart-Seeking Bow has four attacks at it’s base, being a Fire, Dash Attack, Volley Fire and Power Shot which are outlined on my Infernal Weapon’s Guide, though in this post I’m going to be focusing on more of the technical Aspects of the Heart-Seeking Bow, so players are aware of the hidden Aspects for each other the upgrades in order to make a good decision of which ones they upgrade and which one they will want to use or avoid depending on how much Titan’s Blood they have.

As is with most things in Hades, such as the Mirror of Night, it’s going to be a good idea to upgrade all of your Aspects so you can freely rotate between them all, however, this isn’t always a possibility, especially for players who are struggling to collect enough resources.

As for the upgrades provided by the Daedalus Hammer, you can read more here.

The following guide will take you through everything you need to know in particular to the Aspects of the Heart-Seeking Bow so you can make an educated decision of whether to upgrade certain Aspects or avoid them completely.

A BIT ABOUT ASPECTS

There are a total of 4 Aspects for the Heart-Seeking Bow being Zagreus, Chiron, Hera, and Rama.

Each Aspect requires players to spend Titan Blood to power them up, however, players will not need to upgrade them all in order to move on to the next.

Essentially, players can be picky right from the get go and choose which Aspect they prefer and level that one up as if players want to unlock and upgrade all the Aspects of the Heart-Seeking Bow they will need to fork over 51 Titan Blood.

Each Aspect of the Hear-Seeking Bow will change the look of it and will add to the functionality of the Weapon. It should be noted that all the Aspects simply add to the base of the Heart Seeking Bow, other than the Aspect of Rama which will completely change the way that the Heart-Seeking Bow functions.

ASPECT OF ZAGREUS

The Aspect of Zagreus is one of the least useful upgrade players can access for the Heart-Seeking as it will not raise the damage of the Heart-Seeking Bow and instead will provide players with a bit of Critical Attack Chance.

As Critical Attack Chance is going to depend on RNG, it’s a bit of a dud upgrade in my opinion as I would rather not have to deal with RNG if not necessary.

For me the Zagreus Aspect for the Heart-Seeking Bow is a bit more mundane than other forms of Critical Attack since it’s attacks are going to be a bit slower than other Weapons, especially because players are going to want to use their charged Attack to deal the majority of their damage.

If players are using the Aspect of Zagreus, it’s going to a good idea to get other upgrades of Critical Attack to ensure that you are Critical Attacking as often as possible.

If players unsuccessfully build enough Critical Attack realistically players will be seeing a good deal of damage lost, which is why I truly never recommend  the Aspect of Zagreus.

The choice is still yours at the end of the day.

The following is all the information you need to know about the upgrades for the Aspect of Zagreus:

TIER 1 ASPECT OF ZAGREUS

Titan Blood Cost: 1 Titan Blood

Critical Attack Chance: +3%

TIER 2 ASPECT OF ZAGREUS

Titan Blood Cost: 1 Titan Blood

Critical Attack Chance: +6%

TIER 3 ASPECT OF ZAGREUS

Titan Blood Cost: 1 Titan Blood

Critical Attack Chance: +9%

TIER 4 ASPECT OF ZAGREUS

Titan Blood Cost: 1 Titan Blood

Critical Attack Chance: +12%

TIER 5 ASPECT OF ZAGREUS

Titan Blood Cost: 1 Titan Blood

Critical Attack Chance: +15%

ASPECT OF CHIRON

The Aspect of Chiron is actually one of my favourite lower tier Aspects that players can choose simply due to it’s utility.

While admittedly the Aspect of Chiron isn’t going to boost a player’s damage drastically, it is a good option for players who  heavily rely on their Special to deal damage.

Essentially with the Aspect of Chiron players will see two things happen. With every upgrade they will receive another maximum shot with their Special, but they will also gain the ability to have their Special automatically seek the last foe that is struck with their Attack.

Now, while players will still want to maximize their damage by using their charged Attack, players can more safely deal damage by using uncharged Attacks if they quickly alternate into their Special shortly after, dealing significantly more damage as it is upgraded.

Now, as mentioned, the Aspect of Chiron truly isn’t the best way to deal damage, however it is extremely useful when players are applying Status Curses on enemies using their Special.

Players who are using the Aspect of Chiron can successfully deal the most damage if they power up their Special enough, though at the end of the day choosing this route can still greatly impact the amount of damage a player deals as no matter what a player’s Charged Attack will always deal more damage than anything else.

In my opinion, the Aspect of Chiron is truly a play style kind of Aspect versus an Aspect that is simply meant to help boost a player’s damage.

If you’re one of the players who struggles with using a charged Attack, then this is the Aspect for you.

The following is all the information you need to know about the upgrades for the Aspect of Chiron:

TIER 1 ASPECT OF CHIRON

Titan Blood Cost: 1 Titan Blood

Max Shots per Special: 4

TIER 2 ASPECT OF CHIRON

Titan Blood Cost: 2 Titan Blood

Max Shots per Special: 5

TIER 3 ASPECT OF CHIRON

Titan Blood Cost: 3 Titan Blood

Max Shots per Special: 6

TIER 4 ASPECT OF CHIRON

Titan Blood Cost: 4 Titan Blood

Max Shots per Special: 7

TIER 5 ASPECT OF CHIRON

Titan Blood Cost: 5 Titan Blood

Max Shots per Special: 8

ASPECT OF HERA

The Aspect of Hera is truly a very powerful Aspect to run and is often a player’s favourite choice simply because when built properly it can push out a great deal of damage.

Essentially with the Aspect of Hera players will be able to use both their Attack and Cast at the same time, using the impact of both to deal a great deal of damage.

While players would think that they are safe to assume that any Cast would be useful for the Aspect of Hera, nothing could  be further from the truth.

Players are going to want to ensure that they only use Casts that can be lodged in enemies, meaning that Boons such as Demeter or Ares are useless.

The following is all the information you need to know about the upgrades for the Aspect of Zeus:

With the Aspect of Hera players will be able to greatly reduce the amount of time a Cast stays lodged in an enemy and will make it so a player can quickly yield the benefits of their Cast while still damaging using their main attack.

The Aspect of Hera is one of the only Aspects that players may not want to have multiple Bloodstones attached to, simply because of how long it takes to Charged Attack and may want to use the Shadow of the Mirror to make Bloodstones return into the player’s inventory immediately, however both methods will be able to push out the same amount of DPS pretty much.

I strongly recommend obtaining a Boon that has a Status Curse on it for your Cast as well as your Attack as having both will make it very easy to proc Privileged Status.

No matter what you’re going to want a Boon that has a Status Curse on your Special as this is the best use for the Aspect of Hera, meaning that Dionysus, Poseidon, Aphrodite or Athena will be your best choices. Players can also choose to use Artemis as their Boon giver, though this is going to be depending on what a player obtains as choices.

The following is all the information you need to know about the upgrades for the Aspect of Hera:

TIER 1 ASPECT OF HERA

Titan Blood Cost: 2 Titan Blood

Ammo Drop Time: 10 seconds

TIER 2 ASPECT OF HERA

Titan Blood Cost: 2 Titan Blood

Ammo Drop Time: 8 seconds

TIER 3 ASPECT OF HERA

Titan Blood Cost: 3 Titan Blood

Ammo Drop Time:6.67 seconds

TIER 4 ASPECT OF HERA

Titan Blood Cost: 4 Titan Blood

Ammo Drop Time: 6.15 seconds

TIER 5 ASPECT OF HERA

Titan Blood Cost: 5 Titan Blood

Ammo Drop Time: 5 seconds

ASPECT OF RAMA

The Aspect of Rama is truly a unique Aspect as it is the only Aspect that will allow players to deal damage to multiple enemies at a time using Shared Suffering.

Essentially Shared Suffering is a status effect caused by the Special of the Heart-Seeking Bow that will damage marked enemies by a percentage of the damage caused by the player’s regular Attack. If a player attacks an enemy that  has a mark with it’s Attack, that mob will take both forms of damage.

The Aspect of Rama takes a lot of getting used to before a player shovels a good amount of damage, however, I strongly recommend trying getting used to it because you can shovel a good amount of damage to multiple enemies at once as soon as you get the hang of it.

HOW TO UNLOCK THE ASPECT OF RAMA

Players will not be able to use the Aspect of Rama at first and must follow these steps to do so:

First, reveal the Aspect of Guan Yu, though will not need to unlock it using Titan Blood.

Players must then invest 5 Titan’s Blood in their Heart-Seeking Bow’s Aspects, meaning that players may want to rush this with the Zagreus upgrade or a mixture of others. I would strongly recommend using others, because the Zagreus one is pretty crap.

Players must either receive the following message from Artemis or must talk to them when they have the Heart-Seeking Bow equipped until they do:

Hey, how’d you get your hands on a nice bow like that? You take good care of Coronacht for me, so I can try it too once you’re up here.

I see you drawn in the arms of the seventh avatar

WHAT IS THE APECT OF RAMA’S MOVESET?

As mentioned, players running with Rama Aspect will have a different set of skills and damage than all other Aspects. The following are the changes:

FIRE

When players use their regular Attack they will have access to different amounts of damage depending on how long they charge the Fire.

Essentially, the longer a player charges their Fire the more distance it will have and the higher the damage.

At it’s least uncharged phase players will deal 25 damage and at it’s most charged players will deal 120 damage.

No matter how much a player charges their Fire, players will be able to pierce all enemies ahead of them.

At the end of the day, it’s still going to be wise to charge your Fire as far as you can because 120 damage is definitely nothing to laugh at.

DASH-STRIKE

The Dash-Strike is kind of misnamed in my opinion as it essentially means any attack after a player Dashes.

After a player Dashes their Attack will charge faster, but it will deal much less damage.

Players will deal 25 damage at its least charged and up to 80 damage at its most charged.

Unfortunately 80 damage is quite a bit less than the 120 damage players will deal when standing still and not dashing, however, still 80 damage isn’t the worst.

VOLLEY FIRE

Volley Fire will now send out 3 ricocheting Arrows in a narrow cone, feeling a bit less than usual, though it’s not really the Special players will be focusing getting their damage out of, but rather the damage from the player’s Attack after.

Players will want to hit as many enemies as they can while using their Special, marking as many foes as possible, then will want to stand still while charging their next Attack to deal heavy damage to all marked enemies.

I would recommend players do the following: Dash for good placement, use your Special, immediately begin charging your Attack until maxed out to deal the most damage to all enemies.

The Volley Fire itself deals very little damage, only sitting at 5 damage per hit, so stacking these arrows on multiple enemies is not as important as hitting as many enemies as possible, especially with a ricochet.

POWER SHOT

I guess earlier I wasn’t 100% truthful as players actually have access to quite a bit more damage than 120 and 80 if they are able to manage getting a Power Shot off.

The Power Shot shouldn’t really be split up as it’s own move, though it is.

Essentially, if players fully charge up their Fire they will gain access to a Power Shot which is indicated by a flashing on their character.

If players are able to manage to get a Power Shot off they will deal 175 damage while standing still or 125 if they perform a Power Shot.

The following is all the information you need to know about the upgrades for the Aspect of Rama:

TIER 1 ASPECT OF RAMA

Titan Blood Cost: 3 Titan Blood

Shared Suffering Damage: +30%

TIER 2 ASPECT OF RAMA

Titan Blood Cost: 3 Titan Blood

Shared Suffering Damage: +38%

TIER 3 ASPECT OF RAMA

Titan Blood Cost: 3 Titan Blood

Shared Suffering Damage: +45%

TIER 4 ASPECT OF RAMA

Titan Blood Cost: 3 Titan Blood

Shared Suffering Damage: +53%

TIER 5 ASPECT OF RAMA

Titan Blood Cost: 3 Titan Blood

Shared Suffering Damage: +60%
