When it comes to playing any game there is no player who can say no to getting free loot or rewards.
I have to be honest, as soon as I heard that playing the Demo of Kirby and the Forgotten Land lands you a couple of free codes for loot I had to complete it immediately on my Twitch stream, especially as a good portion of our community was planning on playing the game.
While I was personally hoping to get rewards such as cosmetics or glamours, the reality is that player swill mostly be receiving Star Coins and Rare Stones which are the main two currencies in the game. Though neither of these resources are anything to scoff at, the reality is that players will be collecting these resources throughout their journeys and will never need to actually use the codes.
While players don’t technically need these codes, the reality is that they can really push a player’s progress forward, especially as some of these codes provide players with a hefty lumpsum of resources.
The following guide will take you through everything you need to know about the codes in Kirby and the Forgotten Land including how to redeem the codes and which codes are available to players.
HOW DO YOU REDEEM CODES IN KIRBY AND THE FORGOTTEN LAND?
In order to begin unlocking codes in Kirby and the Forgotten Land players will need to rescue a total of 50 Waddle Dees in order to unlock Waddle Dee-liveries.
As regular readers of my blog know, Waddle Dees can be rescued simply for completing levels in the game, however, due to the immense amount of Waddle Dees players need to rescue players are encouraged to complete as many Missions as they can as this will greatly speed up the amount of Waddle Dees a player will earn.
Players will only earn a maximum of 3 Waddle Dees for simply completing a map, however, if players complete missions they can score up to 10 Waddle Dees at a time, essentially meaning that they will be able to earn enough Waddle Dees by the time they reach the second area of Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Don’t know how to complete all of the missions? I got you! I’ve been covering each level one by one with all the missions players need to complete with included pictures. Either check out this category or use my search function to find text based articles or you can check out my YouTube playlist to watch video guides which include time stamps. Of course if you ever have any questions or if something isn’t clear enough for you leave me a comment and I’ll make sure to take the time to answer your question.
Now back to how to redeem codes!
Upon unlocking Waddle Dee-Liveries, players can talk to the Delivery Waddle Dee to initiate a quick chat with him. Players will have to connect to the internet in order to do so, meaning that if you aren’t near WiFi you’re sadly out of luck.
Upon speaking to the Delivery Waddle Dee for the first time, players will be encouraged to look around for codes hidden in the Waddle Dee Town. However, to my surprise, players do not actually need to locate these codes to use them as players can simply input them if they are aware of their existence. So, if you’re ready to cheat a little bit and don’t want to wait to unlock the codes below, get cracking! I will, however, make sure that the codes are in order of when you would unlock them to avoid having players be spoiled if they want to find them on their own.
Players should note, whenever they are submitting a code to the Delivery Waddle Dee they must make sure that they are in CAPSLOCK as these codes are case sensitive. Silly, but this seems to be the way that most Nintendo codes are submitted and I would personally have preferred that the game auto-forces you to use caps lock.
You can enter CAPSLOCK MODE by double clicking on the shift button (the up arrow on your keyboard).
Upon entering a valid code players will be able to head to their Kirby House in order to claim the reward. It should be noted that players will only be able to enter a single code at a time as players will need to claim the present before they enter the next code.
TIME SENSITIVE CODES
There were two codes that were given out by Nintendo via their social media. Unlike the rest of the game, players will have to submit these codes by a deadline. I will leave these codes up even after they expire to catalogue what rewards Nintendo has given out since release, however, I will also include the date that they expire by.
MOUTHFULMODE
By this point of the game, players will be well aware of the new Mouthful Mode that is available to players when Kirby is nearby extremely large objects.
The MOUTHFULMODE code will provide players with the following:
100 Star Coins
1 Car-Mouth Cake, which is a consumable item that will recover some of the player’s Health.
Note: the MOUTHFULMODE code is only available until April 25, 2022.
KIRBYMICROSITE
In celebration of launching the new Kirby and the Forgotten Land website, Nintendo has provided players a code with an invaluable resource.
Upon entering KIRBYMICROSITE players will receive the following:
150 Star Coins
1 Attack Boost, which will raise the damage a player deals upon consuming. These are best used against Bosses that require players to not take any damage. Players can stack up to 5 of these boosts at a time and will be able to purchase them in the future, making some mechanics extremely easy.
KIRBYGAMESTOPCAN
Although this code is related to Gamestop it seems like all players will be able to redeem it.
Upon entering KIRBYGAMESTOPCAN players will receive the following:
150 Star Coins
1 Maxim Tomato
It is unknown when this code expires.
KIRBYADVENTURECALI
Upon entering KIRBYADVENTURECALI players will receive the following:
300 Star Coins
4 Food Items that are immediately consumed.
It is unknown when this code expires.
GAMENEWS
Upon entering GAMENEWS players will receive the following:
1 Rare Stone
It is unknown when this code expires.
ADVENTUREGUIDE
Upon entering ADVENTUREGUIDE players will receive the following:
1 Rare Stone
It is unknown when this code expires.
KIRBY DEMO CODES
Although most players will have the following two codes after completing the Demo, this is for those of you who didn’t give it a try.
Again, players do not need to have completed the demo in order to receive the rewards from these codes, meaning that you haven’t “missed your opportunity.”
CLEARDEMO
For completing the Demo players were given the CLEARDEMO code.
The following are the rewards players receive for simply clearing the Demo:
300 Star Coins
NEWADVENTURE
If players were able to complete all the Demo Missions they were rewarded with another code with a rare resource.
After inputting NEWADVENTURE players will receive:
300 Star Coins
1 Rare Stone
LOCATION SPECIFIC CODES
If you’re not ready for spoilers, I advise that you skip this section.
The following codes will be found in buildings that players can unlock in the Waddle Dee Town and luckily players will not have to unlock these buildings before they use these codes.
If you’re someone who doesn’t care about spoilers, I strongly recommend you throw these codes in immediately as they unlock some great loot.
KIRBYSTORY
Upon unlocking the first building, the Waddle Dee Cinema, players who explore the are may have noticed their companion stating that there is a code nearby.
This code is located in the far right of the lobby by the magazine rack.
After inputting KIRBYSTORY players will receive the following:
300 Star Coins
KIRBYTHEGOURMET
One of the important buildings players will want access to quickly is the Waddle Dee Cafe. Luckily for players, when the Waddle Dee-livery is open, so is the Cafe meaning that players can immediately find this code.
The code is located near the flowe bed above the Waddle Dee Cafe Help Wanted sign.
For submitting KIRBYTHEGOURMET players will receive the following rewards:
1 Car-Mouth Cake
1 Rare Stone
BRAWLINGCOLOSSEUM
When players unlock the Colosseum, which admittedly takes a bit of time to do, players will be able to locate a code on the top of the tent near the Colosseum.
For inputting BRAWLINGCOLOSSEUM players will receive the following:
500 Star Coins
1 Attack Boost
THANKYOUKIRBY
In order to receive this coin players will have to locate that Gold Kirby. Behind it they will find one of the two most notable rewards:
For inputting THANKYOUKIRBY players will receive the following:
1,000 Star Coins
1 Rare Stone
THANKYOUMETAKNIGHT
Players will have to locate the Meta Knight by the Colosseum wall in order to receive this code.
This is by far the best reward players will receive using codes, however, I have to admit that I haven’t run out of Rare Stones as I tend to complete any side quests as soon as I find them.
Players will receive the following for completing THANKYOUMETAKNIGHT:
3 Rare Stones
CONCLUSION
As there will definitely be more codes in the future I will continue to update this post as often as they come out. I would strongly recommend bookmarking this page or checking back when you can.
So, I’m curious, how many of these codes did you get on your own? Did you simply input all the codes on this list from the guide? Did I miss a code on this list or have I not explored enough? Let me know in the comments below!
